Tent campsites at Cypremort Point State Park include cold outdoor showers, picnic tables, and grills for each site. The park maintains toilets and trash collection, with a recently completed boardwalk and picnic pavilion enhancing the facilities. Campers should note that vehicle parking is separate from the tent sites, requiring gear to be carried in. At Attakapas WMA, the primitive tent camping experience includes picnic tables and basic toilet facilities near a boating launch. The tent sites provide good birding opportunities along the Gulf Coast. At Attakapas WMA, tent campers report beautiful sunset views over the fields and a peaceful atmosphere. According to reviews, "The site has plenty of room for tents about 2 miles from town, with decent service." Winter visitors to Attakapas found the area "beautiful, clean, and quiet," though they cautioned that "the water is questionable, bring your own." Both locations offer tent-only camping options that serve as convenient bases for exploring the unique coastal ecosystems of southern Louisiana.
