Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere and easy parking at this standard RV park with electric and water hookups. However, facility conditions vary significantly with some reporting cleanliness issues and broken sewer connections.

For a short stay.. Western KY RV Park is okay.

For a short stay I'd come back again. The RV Park is close to shopping , in case you forgot something or didn't get a chance to stick up. However, the park itself leaves much to be desired. Though there are showers( pressure low and get in early for hot water or sometimes late at night so the propane can heat more) they are relatively clean. It mentioned a dog park, which is more like a run. For noise, there really isn't much in the park, probably due to the long list of rules, but the Kentucky Park Way is rather noisy! The park has lights so you really can't enjoy the night sky especially with lights from the city .The park is maintained and has 24/7 surveillance. Each site has hook up for 30 and 50 along with water and waste hook ups. They do allow for RV's to pull in and empty for a small fee. They have electric as well for .22 a kw. The only other thing I can really say is the manager is super nice and will accommodate you the best she can. Has laundry room for 2.oo a load. Machines are mediocre. So if I had to, or was in a spot of having to stop for either a weekend or a day , it's fine. Most of the campers here are ppl. who are working out of town, so they stay here- which makes perfect sense, otherwise,if you're looking to kick back and enjoy amenities , or for completely no sound of the eternal rat race .. keep searching this ain't the place. Want to add there are no fires allowed on the ground. So no fire pits unless you have your own that is raised.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We truly appreciate the feedback — both the positives and the areas where you feel we can improve.

We’re glad you found the park convenient, well maintained, and appreciated the hookups, surveillance, and our efforts to accommodate guests as best we can. We also appreciate your kind words about management.

As you mentioned, our park primarily caters to long-term working guests such as contractors, linemen, travel workers, and others needing a safe, reliable place to stay while working away from home. Because of that, our focus is more on convenience, affordability, cleanliness, and quiet hours rather than resort-style amenities.

Regarding the park rules — we understand some guests may feel there are a lot of them, but those guidelines are a major reason the park stays clean, safe, quiet, and comfortable for everyone staying here. With many long-term working guests who need rest between shifts, the rules help ensure the environment remains respectful and secure for all campers.

We do understand that highway noise and nearby city lighting may not provide the secluded camping experience some travelers are looking for, and we always encourage guests to choose the type of campground that best fits the experience they want.

We also appreciate the notes regarding shower pressure, hot water timing, and laundry equipment. Feedback like this helps us identify areas we can continue improving.

Thanks again for staying with us.

Keep Moving

I do not recommend this place unless you’re either coming for a one night stay or you work in the area and don’t plan to spend a lot of time there but to sleep. There’s nothing to do there. No picnic tables, no fire pits and not much room between campers. The playground was not something I’d let my child play on. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled of mold and our sewer hook ups were broken. They were draining into the ground and when we contacted the owner about it they did not seem concerned. We were happy to leave.

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear your stay was not up to your standards. However, our manager spoke to you several times when you were outside and asked if there was anything she could help you with. None of the complaints were mentioned to her other than the septic, which isn't an issue, it still works as it should. Had you of mentioned your dissatisfaction, she might have been able to accommodate you with your request.

Great spot near “Paradise”

Maybe you’re here to work coal, maybe you’re here to see the county John Prine wrote “Paradise” about, or maybe like us you’re just passing through. Standard parking lot style rv park near highway, but we’ll kept, clean rr/shower/laundry, decent playground, grass strips on which you should NOT drive or park.

Perfect stopping place

If you’re tired and need a quiet place to rest, look no further.  Each site has electric and water.  Back in and stay awhile. Parking is easy on the gravel lot.  It’s clean and the folks are very nice.  Light up the grill, pull out the shade and relax in the peace and quiet.  There is a nice little playground for kids as well.  Make it your next stop through.
