Diamond Lake Resort Owensboro, KY

I once gave this locarion a 5 star review that I've since deleted. This was our 3rd visit. With new owners, much cutback on staff and available hours for activities. Why oh why do you close a main attraction, go carts and pizza, during the week and cut hours of go carts when they ARE open??? I'd been communicating with stsff and had expressed our grandson's excitement to return to the go carts. THAT was the perfect opportunity to tell me o substantially reduced hours. This campground caters to seasonal campers. They don't all respect quiet hours are zipping around on golf carts partying. We won't return.

Crowded & Dated

We stayed at the resort July 9-12, 2021: Site A9. The campground was nearly full. That meant lots of automobiles and golf carts. It doesn't appear that the one-car rule per campsite is enforced. And drivers of golf carts are not very considerate.

The campsites are very close together. Facilities are dated and not very clean. There was always trash on the floor of the men's room by the pool, for example.

We will not stay at the campground again.

Typical Resort style campground

This is a resort not a get away from it all camping. It is well maintained, friendly staff, lots to do for kids. Sites are close, as in any resort style campground. Full hook ups, good cell service, WiFi is an additional cost.

Nice but.....

I stayed for 2 weeks and they DO have many amenities that are nice post covid, the staff is friendly and helpful, but if you’re looking for leg room keep going. RVS and campers are packed in like sardines and it is an extremely high priced, 490 for just two weeks!!

Happy camper

We camped here and enjoyed our time fishing and going on the go carts. It was also nice to ride the golf cart around the park to get around. We brought ours but you can also rent. The swimming pool stays pretty full but is nice. The only negative I guess is sites are pretty close together at the sites we stayed at (there were some larger ones ) and we enjoy a little more room.
