We camped with family in the group circle site. The circle group site has a nice big area for the kids to play. The playground and lake was also fun for the kids too.
camped her for years and the park has lost its camp host. soooo honesty pay system is in effect. the park has a nice primitive spot along the river
this park has hiking(on path or off), fishing in multiple lakes and the cedar river, and a beach!!! maxx rentals will rent you from float mats to double kayaks. i suggest if you like well kept campgrounds try a weekend here
Very quiet, small campground (possibly more quiet than usual being the 1st weekend of the season). Most sites are relatively private. Nice hiking trails within a short walking distance from campsites. There are 4 walk-in sites overlooking the Mississippi River. Clean restroom/showers.

Nice campground with some non-electric sites on bank of Cedar River, clean shower house and flush toilets. On Cedar Valley bike trail (100+miles of interconnecting bike trial. major Hwy on two sides of park, sleeping in a tenet it was very noisy at night. and a train track close by (again at night)
Nice County camp ground (Black Hawk), Electric and non-electric sites. campground sits on edge of lake. Bike trail runs by campground and connects to the Cedar Valley Trail (100+miles of interconnecting hard surface bike trails). NOTE: Some Hwy noise at night as Hwy 218 is right next door)

I grew up going to this park both camping here and watching softball games with my friends. Also fishing a picnics! Close to home!
Beautiful place with a horrible past. Lots of sites and boat launches. Sad history of the place.
If you're looking for a wooded campground that offers you both quiet sites to relax but also offers a variety of activities for all ages, this is the place for you to setup your tent, or RV. For little ones, there is a large sand playground area with slides and swings. There is a sand beach to…
We had and absolute blast at this national park! The Blackhawk monument is one of a humbling experience. Sad to hear how it all happened.
None the less the fishing was awesome. The people were great, plus you are in distance of 3-4 states within 30 minutes you could be to anyone! The staff…
We found this campground when we were looking for the mill (which, although it was supposed to be open on the weekends, not only was not open but looked like it had not been open for quite some time, despite information on their website). Located one mile north of the small town of Lime Springs…

Camper spots were huge with plenty of space between sites. Fire ring was on a cement slab. Bathrooms were clean. Good cell phone signal. Small lake for fishing and swimming working walking distance
We like this campground a lot, very nice shade, playground area, as well as nice trails. Clean restrooms and shower stall
It was kind of loud, but it was busy. The lake for swimming was a little gross but we did it anyway. The bike trails are excellent and same for hiking. Bathrooms were a little old but clean when we were there, but there were massive hornets all over the bathroom area. It's also pretty bright here…
