Valdosta Oaks RV Park provides full hookups with 50-amp service across its 100 level sites, accommodating large motorhomes with pull-through access. "Sites are uneven and very close together with tiny concrete pads and very little grass. No picnic table or fire ring. Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park Campground

    Awesome campground and facilities!

We stayed here a couple of years ago while visiting family and friends in Lake City, about 20 miles away.  I was very impressed with the facilities, very clean and well kept.  Site 19 is a long pull through with plenty of room for a big rig and tow vehicle.  Picnic table and fire ring available.  Beautiful trees with Spanish moss give the park that old Florida feel.  This is Florida, so expect humidity and some bugs.  Not a lot of breeze at our site but very shady.  Staff was very courteous and helpful, work campers rode by occasionally and would carry off trash if needed.  There is a nice museum and camp store/gift shop onsite also.  Cell service was good, didn't try the tv.  There is no big stores nearby, just a Dollar General in White Springs near the entrance.  Definitely a thumbs up.

    Valdosta Oaks RV Park

    Great location, Awesome overnight

We stopped here in May of 2020 enroute to leaving Florida. The location was the perfect stopping point for overnighting. It is located close to I-75 so very easy to get off the highway and back on in the morning.

The Park: 100 very level sites, full hook ups, easy to get in and out of. Plenty of space for big rigs. They have WiFi too! They had public restrooms and shower houses at the office. The park is really pretty, very clean. Most sites were pull through sites.

The owner and staff were very kind! We occasional heard traffic and thought we heard 1 train at night. We really enjoyed our stay and we will stay again.

Due to the virus we are not using public restrooms at this time so I don’t have any photos of them.

    Reed Bingham State Park Campground

    The Campground is NOT closed

This is a really nice campground on a nice lake. Almost all the spots are pull-throughs, water, electric and sewer and cable TV as well. Bathhouse is nice, washers (1) was inop. It's a year round CG.

    Would definitely stay again

    Suwannee River State Park Campground

Wonderful option for tent or rv camping

Electric and water hook ups. Camping sites are large enough for 2 tents. Shaded well. There’s a decent boat ramp with over flow parking for the truck and trailer. Great for kayaking and Small boating. Trails are great for hiking and a few for mountain biking. Neat cemetery back in the grass lands near ranger station, lots of tortoises to see. Pet friendly for domestic pets. Ranger station was very helpful and knowledgeable about trails for longer distance biking. Wood for sale. Hot water bath house as well. Site has picnic tables. Very clean area.

    River Park RV Park

    Visiting family

We chose this park because it was close to family we were visiting.

    Pros:

    Full hookups

    Laundry mat

    Showers

    Dog park

    Close to interstate

    Cons:

    Uneven sites

    Very close together

Tiny concrete pad, very little grass

No picnic table or fire ring

If you sit outside, your just looking at the side of the RV right next to you.

Lots of fulltimers with pretty rundown sites

Overly concerned about the grass while letting the rest of the park run down

Nothing worth getting pics of here

We will try a different park when we go back.

    Lake Park Campground

    Nice campground

The roads and sites are paved. The wifi is not bad, but no cable TV if that is important. The staff is nice. Grounds are kept up well. The trees are beautiful here with the Spanish moss. Kind of pricey for the limited amenities. The sites are also a little snug for big rigs, but doable. Would stay again

Madison RV Resort and Golf Course

    Enjoyable, quiet and well-kept

Very nice resort. We don’t golf (this was the closest place to our grandkids!) so I can’t speak about the golf course. The RV resort is wonderful! Friendly and polite staff and neighbors. Clean laundry and bathhouse. A large dog park. My only suggestion would be to divide the park into “little dogs, big dog” sections. Big rig friendly. We would most definitely recommend this resort!

    Another Great Stay

There’s signage as you get close to the campground (CG) to guide you in. We arrived and checked in with no problems. As this was our third time here, we did not need an escort to our site, 60a, to meet up with our travel partners who were in site 60. Sites 60 and 60A are the buddy sites by the pond. Our nightly rate of$41 was based on the monthly rate, electricity, and a golf package with the cart. The CG area is adjacent to their well-maintained 9-hole course. WiFi is better than normal for this sized CG, and we got two bars on Verizon. We had a clear shot of the northern sky for Starlink, and there were several OTA channels. As this is a newer CG with not a lot of interior mature trees, there is no problem with satellite reception. Connected to the office are 3 very nice individual shower rooms and a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers. If a washer or dryer breaks, they get it repaired quickly. Firewood& propane were available, including free propane pickup(set the tank at the end of your site) and firewood delivery if requested. The CG has a nice mix of back-in and pull-thru sites. Our buddy site was spacious, but would rate the other sites as"nearby." They also have three cabins for rent. This CG is definitely not a kids’ destination(big pro for us) as there is no playground nor much to do for the young ones, including they aren't allowed to operate the golf carts. The CG is more adult-oriented, with a pickleball court and activities such as group walks or special events like golf tournaments/leagues, karaoke, and potlucks. This year they added a very nice Tiki Bar at the pool. A huge bonus for us is the large(about 2 acres) fenced dog park. There’s a smaller fenced-off area for small dogs. We also enjoyed daily walks around the CG and along the front of the golf course. If you are allergic to train noise, there is a train track adjacent to the CG. Trains didn't run every day, but when they did, they have been during daylight hours. Otherwise, this was a quiet park considering its size. Madison has your basic amenities and a few restaurants. Valdosta, GA, is about 30 minutes away with the major amenities such as Walmart and big box stores. If you’re a foodie or desire a robust touristy experience, this is probably not the destination for you.

Madison RV Resort and Golf Course

Still One of Our Favorite Campgrounds

This was our second time staying in this very nice RV park. There’s signage as you get close to the campground(CG) to guide you in. We arrived and checked in with no problems and were then escorted to site 60a to meet up with our travel partners who were in site 60, which are their buddy sites by the pond. Our nightly rate was based on the monthly rate and included a golf cart and golfing on their well maintained 9 hole course. WiFi was better than normal for this sized CG and we got two bars on Verizon but put up our WeBoost for more capability. We had a clear shot to the southern sky for satellite plus quite a few OTA channels. There are 3 very nice individual shower rooms, plus laundry facility with 4 washers and 4 dryers. Firewood& propane were available and included propane pickup(set the tank at the end of your site) and firewood delivery if requested. The CG has a nice mix of back-in and pull thru sites. Our buddy site was spacious, but would rate the other sites as"nearby." They also added another cabin for a total of three. This CG was definitely not a kids destination(big pro for us) as there was no playground nor much to do for the young ones, to include they aren't allowed to operate the golf carts. The CG was more adult oriented with a pickle ball court and activities such as group walks or special events like golf tournaments/leagues, karaoke and potlucks. A huge bonus for us was their large(about 2 acres) fenced dog park. This year they fenced off an area for small dogs. We also enjoyed daily walks around the CG and along the front of the golf course. If you are allergic to train noise, there is a train track adjacent to the CG. Trains didn't run everyday, but when they did, they were mainly during daylight hours. Otherwise, this was a quiet park considering its size. The mobile RV repair service this CG recommends is very good, and works with extended warranties. If you’re a foodie or desire a robust touristy experience, this is probably not the destination for you.
