Good for an overnight

Selected campground based on proximity to interstate. Loud traffic drove us to stay inside our camper instead of enjoying outside.

Site was unlevel and took three boards to fix side to side, disconnected from TV to fix fore/aft. Concrete pad was all the way forward on the site while connections were over midway back making it so we couldn’t use both easily. Had to park father back to reach connections which was where the site dropped off (causing us to use extra boards to level). We moved the picnic table back towards the camper, otherwise it would have been by our truck’s doors.

Bathrooms were clean, but dated with rusty stall doors. Be aware there are speed humps throughout the campground. No fire pit on our site, but other sites had them. Not sure if we were allowed a fire as such.

For overnight guests, I would recommend asking for sites up near the front of the park, as they appeared newer and more level, although less trees. I would avoid the row next to the bathrooms on the far side of the lake as they appeared to be the most unlevel, like the one we chose based on the website (site 41). Be aware that some of the outer ring sites in the wooded area on the far side are pull-in sites, not pull-thru or back-in, which could make it challenging if you want to drop your trailer and leave.

We would stay again in a pinch, but this isn’t a destination.

Nice campground

The roads and sites are paved. The wifi is not bad, but no cable TV if that is important. The staff is nice. Grounds are kept up well. The trees are beautiful here with the Spanish moss. Kind of pricey for the limited amenities. The sites are also a little snug for big rigs, but doable. Would stay again

Awesome place

Beautiful grounds and super sweet staff. Sits by a camping world so if you need anything it’s here! Everyone was super friendly. Will come again. It’s near the highway so there is a little traffic noise but that doesn’t bother us.

Lake park

This has to be one of the nicest parks we have stayed at so far.. Peggy at the front desk was so nice and helpful.. the bath house was clean and big and private.. best I have seen so far.. beautiful scenery and a welcoming duck party! With a few goats to visit as well.. is right off 75 so you do hear the traffic but it's very convenient so that makes up for it.. this place is big and they are doing more to to add on even more comforts.. we definitely will be coming back...

Right off I-75

The only reason this place did not get a five-star review from me was because of the proximity to the interstate. You can hear the traffic very well, but that's also one of the things that I liked a lot about the park was the proximity to the interstate LOL Fair priced, showers and bath house were clean, Park was quiet and not very crowded. Lots of ducks that roam the park that were friendly and other wildlife to see... Great place to stay if you're going to wild adventures for a day or two.

Southern Hospitality!!

Beautiful campground on the water conveniently located. Lots of animals to see and the staff is outstanding, friendly and accommodating. They fed us dinner on Saturday and we’re so kind. Only two tent sites but they are huge and shaded. Very pet friendly.

Ok for a couple nights

Pros: staff that did our reservation couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Grounds are clean, camping world connected to property, all people we met here were very friendly, even the people that live here.

Cons: when I called I asked specifically about the size of sites since we're a triple axl. Was told sites are large, will have no issues. They put us in a spot on a corner where I was certain we'd get clipped. We hung safety vests off the back bumper and didn't attempt to put down side or rear patios. We just didn't fit. Pull forward or back at all and connections/slides had issues. Also, a huge electrical box within 2 ft of our front door. Also, property sits right on 75 south. Convenient but also loud traffic.

Overall the stay was fine, would have just appreciated honesty on site size.

Didn't use the bath house, wifi etc

Overnight stop over

The main campground looked nice and shaded and around a lake. We were in the other side which seemed to be for camping world. It had no trees and sites were close

Great spot in South Georgia

We camp here as our midway stop from Atlanta to Orlando. It’s easy to pull right off the interstate, gas up and then pull into the campground. It’s always quiet and super clean!
