Nice campgroud, but dated.

This is a nice campground, but seems to be in need of some TLC,  The layout tends to give some sites a very good view and lots of room while others are very close, all have picnic tables and fire rings.  The sites tend to be on the small side also, but there are some suitable for larger rigs and plenty of overflow parking.  Bathrooms, though older, were clean and well maintained. The dump station has only a single drain, so last minute checkout leads to long lines.  Cell service was good as was over the air TV.  We stayed in a 30' motorhome and would not have had room for another vehicle on site.  Some sites have room for a tent, some don't.  We found it to be kind of noisy from traffic over the dam and on the road alongside the campground.

Best Camping

We had site 32 right on the water, this site is a little tight but the scenery totally makes up for it, although the sites are not on top of each other just this particular site is close to the street and is a tight squeeze for anything I would say over 26ft. We absolutely will be back to this well kept piece of heaven

Super quite week

Bathroom was very clean. My site was large, site 7. Walked other sites and most of them were nice. Plenty of space between sites.

What an amazing find!

We stopped here for one night in December, passing through. The park had a beautiful Christmas light display with hot chocolate and a Christmas movie playing on a big screen. The park staff were so friendly. There is a small lake with boat rentals. Campground is clean. We want to return and stay longer!

A little too close together for me

Most sites are a little to close together for my style of camping for the reason of 3+. Sites are gravel, and fairly level with water and electricity, some are lakefront. A little tight for our 30ft. Camper and 2 dogs. Some were off the water a good distance but nice views. Some had more shade/trees than others. Nice facilities, picnic area, playground, beach area etc. areas were well kept and clean. A nice park campground.

Our Home away from home

One of the best campgrounds around.

Spacious sites

A lot of the sites are on the waters edge and offers beautiful views. The red clay was horrible though, especially with a white dog and after it rained. We had site 145, beautiful views but difficult to maneuver into the site and access the water, but we made it work. We would return though. Site 144 and 143 had gorgeous views of the sunset…I’ve heard 108 and 77 are prime spots. Be aware of booking a site and how you’re awning will face! Bathhouse is about 1/2 mile away, so too far to walk when you have to go. Not many bathhouses either so there was a line for the shower (only 2 shower stalls and 3 toilets for at least 75 campsites with the tent sites included). Only 2 single access dump stations for the entire park, so there was a line of 8-10 campers at both on a Sunday morning!

The campground is spotless!

We really like campgrounds that have a lot of room, space between each site and easy sites to get in to. AH Stephen’s fits that bill! Comfort station was very clean, hosts available if needed and the campground wasn’t overly packed with campers on top of each other.

Sites have great size

This is a beautiful place, with great sites, that have a good space between each other, this way you can have some privacy!

Great Camping in any Season

Victoria Bryant State Park is probably one of my most frequented camping spots in the last few years. All of the tent sites are sheltered platforms, with electricity, potable water and an overhead light. Rain or shine, you can have a good time (and stay dry) at Victoria Bryant. There are only about 8 platforms, and one is ADA only, so they book up quick. They are all spaced pretty far apart, privacy isn't too hard to maintain (except maybe site 7&8). 1-4 are down a hill, 4 being the furthest away at about 40 feet, down the steepest incline. There are facilities right across the parking lot, that have always been clean and well maintained, and heated in the colder months. Camp hosts and office have firewood. There are several miles of trails that are lower difficulty, save for some hilly spots. In October, the park does a pretty cool little haunted trail. There's obvious reasons we enjoy VBSP, staying dry in the rain, nice, dense forested areas, and awesome campgrounds make it an easy choice.
