Friendly people, beautiful setting

Stayed over the weekend before Halloween and had a great time. There were tons of activities over the weekend for the kids! Trick or treating, a movie. Site was level but gravel was sparse! Clean bath house. We did not have cell signal for AT&T or Verizon. Great place if you’re wanting to launch your boat! Lots of interesting sites nearby

An out of the way place, few amenities.

This is a good campground for a weekend getaway or fishing trip with friends.  Not so much for a family trip, no swimming beach or playground.  This is a former COE campground, very dated and in need of upgrading.  To give credit, it is being worked on but much needs to be done.  With 31 sites it is a smaller campground, but the sites are well dispersed and offer plenty of room.  The bathhouse has been remodeled, with sidewalks and new fixtures, very clean and well maintained.  Over a three day stay we never saw anyone at the gatehouse, our reservation paperwork was taped to the window.  There was also a not informing folks that if a site was empty to park in it.  When we got to our site some folks were there with a travel trailer even though there was a "RESERVED" placard on the post.  To their credit, they were apologetic, promptly moved and mentioned the confusion about the "RESERVED" placards.  I understood their confusion after walking around and seeing many sites with reserved placards dating as far back as April (this was mid-June).  There is ZERO Verizon coverage, and even though WIFI was said to be available our phones could never find the network.  50/30/20 electric service and water.  Dump station available, clean and well kept.
