Hiawassee KOA-Surrounded by Mountains!

This KOA is a really nice CG. It’s nestled in a valley and surrounded by by mountains. Full service with a nice pool, camp store,clean bath houses/restrooms and lots to do for kids . Our site was along the creek. Very peaceful and loved hearing the water. Lots of mixed use, long term RV’s, cabin rentals and tent sites. The CG was s very large and most sites are close to one another, not much privacy but that’s what State Park CG’s are for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great WiFi here, very solid signal during our visit.

First KOA experience

First time camping at a KOA campground. Campground. Sites have plenty of space. Campground is clean and very well-maintained. Sites have full hook ups, including sewer. As well as trash pick up between 9 AM and noon plenty of stuff for the kids to do especially if you get a spot near the recreation area. Close to plenty of local attractions and easy to get to
