Nice campground

Nice campground. Check in was easy and overall a quiet crowd. Some of the campsites are a little tight on the lake.

Great Views All Around

Loved this campground for the beautiful views from our site. It is very hilly, but the sites are mostly level and relatively easy to get into and out of. We stayed across the road from the main campground on the south side of the main road. There are tons and tons of places to explore around Hiawassee and we had a blast during our visit. It does take a bit of work to get here as some of the 2 lane roads make for challenging driving pulling a large 5th wheel, but it can be done if you exercise care. All in all, a wonderful time and would recommend it highly.

Spectacular Views

Spectacular views, convenient to town and friendly staff onsite if you need anything. Not many places you can enjoy the lake, trails nearby, and a concert all right there.

Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Good campground. Reservations are almost a must to stay here if you plan on staying a week or longer. All campsites are within walking distance to Lake Chatuge. Restrooms are the best we’ve seen, but they are more than adequate. We stay here for a month each summer and will come back as long as we are in good health.

Nice venue but better views

We were able to attend the fair last year and like most fairs, there aren't amazing, but the location is very beautiful especially in that time of year. I would go back if I was in the area.

GREEEEEN!!!

Im from the mid west, and i was astonished by how green and beautiful this place was. The campground was sort of crowded when we visited, not sure if its always like that, and the trash was overflowing, however, the trash issue may have been from the mass amount of people. Such a beautiful place though! It was very different from the western desert camping that i am used to!
