The sound of High Shoals Creek running alongside camp is one of the first things visitors notice here. This free, hike-in dispersed area within Chattahoochee National Forest sits along a 2.4-mile round-trip trail that passes two waterfalls, Blue Hole Falls and High Shoals Falls, with primitive sites tucked among old-growth trees, mountain laurel, and rhododendrons. No developed amenities exist. Campfires and pets are permitted, and cell service is available. Spring visits tend to coincide with wildflower blooms along the trail.
