This is a terrific spot. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The spots are level concrete pad with full hook up. Most spots have shade and space between on the outer ring is about 10 feet each side.. It is quiet even though away from the highway but just minutes through town to Highway 50. Several trail options to walk the dog along the river from the park. No picnic tables or fire rings but that doesn't bother me. Added to my must stay places.
The owners and family are great. Very friendly, helpful and area information. Seems to be a community stopping place as there are so few places to get supplies. The campground is very convenient location for the lake and rivers. Nice service of coffee and a few microwaved food options. It has a nice game room also. The views are great as the layout of the campground is terraced on a hillside. The sites are all parallel park so your door can have a view of the lake. The owner helps you get situated into the spot. The parking is gravel and level. But there is not much space between nose to tail other campers.
Found this campground for Memorial Day weekend. What a score. Just 25 minute drive to the entrance of National Park. But did enjoy staying in campground with nice walking trails around the property and peaceful pond to canoe. Missed the hang gliders while I was at Kings Canyon but very interesting folks. Spencer was great about communicating, checking in to see if there was anything needed and providing information about the local area. RV parking area is very open with space between and provides water and sewer and picnic table. Lots of dry grass as is expected this time of year so there were fox tails in the pet fur. Look forward to staying again in the future.
