RangerBecause of this road, I'll have to replace my camper's stabilizing jacks, and I feel lucky that's the only damage. If you have a 4WD high clearance vehicle, you should be fine. There are several spots and beautiful views for all! I hiked around trail nearby, Sugarloaf Mountain Trail and really enjoyed it.

RangerOf all the forest roads in the area, I think this was the best road. There are a few decent spots on the right after you pass the summer camp and that's where I stopped. There are several more spots further down the road. The water is very low so you will not be near water, even if you go all the way back. I really liked this spot. There's a nice hike at the beginning of the road. It is around 30 min away from RMNP.
TravelerSolid campground for what they offer. Huge bear boxes that fit our cooler, kitchen bin and dog food bin (plus more). We stayed at 004 loop A right next to the entrance. Partial shade and easily accessible to the amphitheater and river trail.
