Nice suburban park

Have to take off 1 star for the freeway noise and the lack of trees. However, the sites are nicely spaced, with many of them facing a few different ponds. The full hook-up sites are much more open than the electric only ones. Also, no showers on the full side, but what looks like a nice building on the electric side. It’s an hour to Estes Park, and it’s nice not to have to drag your rig up the mountain. Plus it’s close to Longmont where we found a couple cute breweries/cideries.

Oasis near the city

We like coming here to camp and fish. Electric hook ups on North campground and some full hookups on the south one. North side has matured shade trees though out and the large Shower House. South side has no trees. Has clean vault toilets and easy access Dump Station with potable fresh water fill at the ends pay attention to the signs because non-potable water is at the center Dump area. Book 6 months ahead! No Swimming or wading allowed in water only non motorized SUP, kayaks or belly boats. Patrolled very well by CPW staff and Park Rangers. Day use areas and good fishing spots fill up quick with locals so set up early. It is near I-25 highway so there is road traffic noise but becomes background noise after a day or so. But if that bothers you you won’t like it. Beautiful fishing ponds with very healthy aquatic ecosystem. Many species of water fowl and lake animals. Mosquitoes are out at dawn and dusk so wear bug protection. It is very pretty to walk around the paths on the North side areas. Crazy it’s so beautiful and close to all needs like gas and groceries.

Lovely marsh like setting

It’s an odd place for a state park as it’s RIGHT off I25. On the plus side you’re close to food and access. On the bad side you have interstate noise constantly. Sites are level, many concrete, and spaced nicely apart, clean facilities, quiet campground. Pretty nature walk around the whole park. Great for a one nighter stop over for us.

Great Urban Camping!

We had an amazing time at St. Vrain State Park! We pulled in on Friday and stayed till Sunday and even though we live right the road it was nice to get the camper out and enjoy the weekend with our two dogs. Bathroom facilities were pretty clean and well kept (no soap in the main building with the showers though). Fishing was a blast caught about ten rainbow trout in a couple of hours. Walking trails throughout the whole park saw lots of birds including bald eagles, ducks, blackbirds, etc. The campsite was fantastic they have both electric only and full hook up but every site has its own covered picnic table, concrete parking pad, and fire ring with a cooking platform. Very dog and family friendly and on the way out there is I even a dump station for the small price of 35$ a night it was well worth it.

First Class facilities with Noise Pollution from nearby Interstate Hwy.

First class camper services with hot showers and clean campsites.  We were tent camping in space 7.  This campsite loops is located in a mature portion of the campground with NICE shaded trees.  The Camper Services bldg was located about 50 yards away with v clean facilities and hot showers.  A vault toilet was about 20 yards away.

The only Con to report was the heavy roadway noise pollution from nearby I-25.  In a tent, earplugs are definitely needed.

State park in the city of Longmont

Clean and we'll kept. Expensive but everything is near boulder. It's pretty much in the center of town, so highway noise. Showers are nice but you have to pay with quarters , so make sure you bring change. For the amount you pay it was disappointing you had to pay for shower. Not my fav place but not to many campgrounds in that area so they kind of cornered the market .

Clean, Afforable, Easy Access

If you're going cross country and need a place to stop and take a break this is a great RV park. The pads are level concrete with either electric or full hook ups. Tons of fishing and trails. Verizon 4g LTE is very good.

Getting to the park from the interstate is quick (1 mile) and easy (all paved until the last 1000 ft.).

Now the bad. And the reason for 2 starts. I-25. The interstate is so close as I type this I can hear in my travel trailer every truck, motorcycle, and car. Going to have to use earplugs tonight to sleep. It's F##king insane the noise.

Very clean, well kept sites. Stayed on the sandpiper loop which was close to potable water source as well as electric hookup for RVs. Beautiful views, great showers, not a ton of fish in late June. Took off a point for the exceptional amount of mosquitoes and lack of shaded area (for the love of God bring deet). Otherwise, great place to check out.
