Road access here is the first thing to sort out. Cement Creek Campground sits within Gunnison National Forest outside Crested Butte, and the road leading in can be too rough for lower-clearance vehicles like sprinter vans. Trailers and high-clearance rigs have navigated it successfully. The campground allows campfires, pets, and alcohol, and runs from May through September. When the established Cement Creek Campground fills up nearby, this dispersed-style area draws the overflow.
