We didn’t spend the night here, but were tempted. We pulled in to see if we could just pay to fill our fresh water tank. The owner wasn’t there, but the gentleman filling in for him was incredibly hospitable. He not only let us fill up, but offered to let us dump if we needed to (we didn’t).…

Close to the Highway

Of all the campgrounds at Eagle Lake this is the least appealing. It sits quite far from the lake on a dry, dusty hill. There is one pit toilet bathroom and there is less shade with less trees. It does have the advantage of being very close to highway 139 and would be a good spot to stop for the…

Like Fishing?

Eagle Lake is known for its “Eagle Lake Trout” and they get big! The lake itself can get choppy in the afternoon but get out and fish in the morning. The campground facilities here are complete and clean. They have a general store that has everything you could ask for, a little of everything and…

Awesome spot for the week!

This place was amazing! There were so many spots to select from. Stayed 4 nights and only saw 4 other campers. The vault toilet I was near was by far the cleanest vault toilet I’ve ever used. It was checked at least once in the 4 days I was there. The spot is free but has a donation box at…

Quiet, secluded, and most importantly DARK!

I came here for two nights with some friends at the beginning of summer. The campground is about 45 minutes - 1 hour from the road, and you will need some decent ground clearance to make it there. Once you arrive, there are several camp sites along the main road, some featuring grills and picnic…

Great campsight but read before you go

This sight is great for boon-docking campers; it has maintained camp sights, picnic tables, and a few fire rings. A short walk from the camp sights there is a vault toilet that’s maintained during the dryer months. Great fishing, stargazing, and kayaking. But be prepared for no cell service at the…

Quiet with a nice view

Very clean, decent spaciousness between sites. Some have a distant view of the water. Lots of wasps!

Great find

We liked how secluded it was and even had a very nice and clean vault toilet near the camp sites. Great spot to kayak or enjoy camping by water. Also there is a legit donation box but you can camp for free.

Super nice BLM campground

We went in August and were the only ones at the whole site. Nice place though, right by the water, fire rings, picnic tables, juniper trees and a pit toilet that looks like it's regularly serviced.
