Lassen RV Park Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Quiet enough that multiple visitors have extended their stays, Lassen RV Park Campground sits outside McArthur in northern California's Fall River Valley, drawing RVers and road-trippers moving between the Oregon border and the Sierra Nevada. Sites are wide and well-spaced. Several reviewers specifically note the sense of privacy despite the open terrain, with a mix of wooded lots and more exposed positions across the property.

The campground's trail network is one of its more distinctive features. Marked paths wind through shaded stretches and lead to a cliff overlook where campers can watch the sun drop behind the surrounding peaks, including sightlines toward Mount Shasta. The owners are hands-on and actively improving the property, with additions like a rock fire pit area and an art garden with beer on tap on weekends. Full hookups accommodate RVs up to 75 feet, and laundry facilities are on-site. WiFi gets solid marks from reviewers, though Verizon cell coverage has tested weak at some sites.

Virginia G. sums up the experience concisely: "Great owner. Wide open sites." Rates run $42 to $75 per night depending on site type, with the season running mid-April through mid-October. Dogs are welcome, and reservations are available. Campers passing through the region can also check places to camp near Cassel or consider Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park Campground for a more primitive alternative roughly ten miles to the west. If the Fall River Valley is new territory, this campground makes a reasonable base for exploring it.

Great Campground !

I was only going to stay 3 nights and i have extended for 7 night. Great owner ! Wide open sites. There are lots of trails I can take my dog for walks. Couple of the trails takes you to a cliff where you can sit and watch the sunset. Clean sites and campground. Washers and dryers. This one of my favorite campground. Beautiful ride in. I will be back. Internet good.

Most Charming RV Resort

We booked a quick one night stay here, passing through. We wish we had allowed more time! There were loads of walking trails, the pool looked very nice and they have beer on tap in the art garden during the weekend. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Our kids loved all the the art throughout the property and the new rock pit they'd just finished installing! The sites were very spacious and had full hookups 👍

Peaceful countryside

We booked a stay here to unwind and see part of CA we had never explored. Pulled in and the owner himself came out to greet us with our welcome packet, never had to get out of the truck! The campground has a natural beauty. Marked trails to walk, often in shade. Owners are actively making improvements to increase enjoyment of their property. This is a real gem as far as RV parks go. Right what we wanted: peaceful break from city life! Good wifi too!

Absolutely Breathtaking

We booked this campsite as an overnight stay on our way to Southlake Tahoe from Eugene Oregon. The campsite is incredibly beautiful with views of Mount Shasta and several other mountain peaks from the edge of the campground. Dannelle and Ben were incredibly helpful during the reservation and check in process. There was a small glitch with our reservation, but Danelle fixed it quickly and showed us to our site, which was very nicely set up and ready for a great stay. We use the trails around the campsite a couple of times each day and had an absolutely fantastic time overall. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful Campground

We spent two nights just passing through during COVID-19, and were pleasantly surprised at the hospitality offered to us. The campground was clean and had huge sites, most in wooded lots. The family who owns this campground are very friendly and made us feel like family. The campground is peaceful and relaxing. Wi-fi is available at the office area. Verizon on my phone at our site was weak. They plan to upgrade the WiFi to better accommodate visitors. Beautiful trails and a great view of Mt Shasta from on of them. Great campground.
