A little….disappointing

The campground and hosts were….awesome! The hosts were attentive and drove around in their golf cart regularly and diligently and were informative and friendly. The camp was good too. All was fairly quiet and the spots are far enough apart. However, the lake was dismal. It smelled like sewage and…

Quiet and beautiful

Tucked away, this place was great! We didn’t have too many people there but it was a gorgeous sight!

Most Pet Friendly RV Park/Campground We've Ever Stayed In

The park was easy to find, but a slow drive from the turn off in Likely due to the road being a little rough. Then the road leading to the park was a bit more narrow and it seemed like you were driving onto a private ranch. Our nightly rate included the weekly 1/2 price golf package. Check in was…

Off the Beaten Path

This little gem of a campground is at exactly half way between Adin and Madeline in the middle of nowhere up a pretty good dirt road. Only a few sites and some not really suitable for a RV as they are not very level. I wouldn't venture in here if I thought the road would be muddy as it could get…

Too Close to the Highway

The spot itself is nice, nestled near Willow Creek among aspen. The problem is it is so close to highway 139 you can hear every car go by. Also, they set a bathroom that acts as a rest stop right on the highway at the campground so essentially you are camping at a rest stop. For us that just…

Close to the Highway

Of all the campgrounds at Eagle Lake this is the least appealing. It sits quite far from the lake on a dry, dusty hill. There is one pit toilet bathroom and there is less shade with less trees. It does have the advantage of being very close to highway 139 and would be a good spot to stop for the…

Peaceful countryside

We booked a stay here to unwind and see part of CA we had never explored. Pulled in and the owner himself came out to greet us with our welcome packet, never had to get out of the truck! The campground has a natural beauty. Marked trails to walk, often in shade. Owners are actively making…

Second Time here....Still a Jewel

I swung thru this camp on a previous ride, and remembered it fondly. (dunno why I didn't review it then).

Up a decent gravel road, only about a mile in.  A beautiful, small reservoir with about 10 sites.  I got the primo site across the water, solo spot with my own pit toilet.  No cell service…

  • My camp, on the 'solo side'. Not another soul to be seen...
  • Beautiful twilight....
  • This was the morning shot of CALM, as I drank my coffee.

Beautiful Blue Lake

Lots of sites and plenty of shade. Located above the lake within easy walking distance. Very well cared for with camp hosts present and ready to enforce rules. It is a great base camp for exploring the lake area or the Warner Mountains.

We are winter camped here for a couple of days on our way to Mexico... The Dyrt spotted this campground for us on our route and we are sooo glad... We will make this a destination in the future.

Absolutely Breathtaking

We booked this campsite as an overnight stay on our way to Southlake Tahoe from Eugene Oregon. The campsite is incredibly beautiful with views of Mount Shasta and several other mountain peaks from the edge of the campground. Dannelle and Ben were incredibly helpful during the reservation and check…

Like Fishing?

Eagle Lake is known for its “Eagle Lake Trout” and they get big! The lake itself can get choppy in the afternoon but get out and fish in the morning. The campground facilities here are complete and clean. They have a general store that has everything you could ask for, a little of everything and…

Small but great and free

Camped here in June 2020 and got the single prime spot across the little pond with its own pit toilet. Snowed when we were there in June. No hookups but there’s water around the campsites and picnic tables and fire pits. Excellent little campground with maybe a dozen or so sites. Clean & well…
