Nope.

This is a very back in the woods setting. We didn’t stay here because when we got out of the car for a bathroom trip, a coyote was 20 feet from the car. Needless to say I almost peed myself 🤣. We went to a different site. This one is super secluded and no one else was there at all when we were…

Perfect for car camping

The site is right outside Yosemite National park. It is perfect for car camping as it is a large parking lot. There is a dumpster and it’s fantastic for viewing the stars.

Autumn Getaway

Great level area overlooking rolling hills dotted with old oaks and granite outcroppings. James is great and accommodating. It was quiet and the views were incredible.

Amazing off grid Location, Quiet, RV access

After accidentally driving to this location following the directions of another reviewer for the “Yosemite Boondocks” campground across 41 (which we never found) we were very happy with this location.

First, to tell you how to properly get here and find all the spots, drive to the end of the road…

Easy access to popular Mist Trail

We typically choose to stay in traditional camp grounds and haul in our own gear and pitch tents but this time we had permits to hike up Half Dome and chose to stay here due to the location of being able to park, sleep and wake up early to start our day hike.

This is great access to start the…

Yosmite Jewel

Reserved the site on-line and later discovered it would not acccommodate a trailer larger than 12'.  Upon arriving I discovered the site was not a back-in; but, was alongside the loop road bounded by boulders.  No problem with pulling my 19' trailer in towed by a large SUV. Whew.

The rangers were…

Great sites just across the road from the lake

Very happy here. Beautiful lake just through the trees(and across the road. Was very empty during my stay. Practically alone. Camp host (Annette) was wonderful.

North Pines #515

Our campsite was the best! We were right next to the Merced River and surrounded by granite cliffs! To our right was Yosemite Falls and behind was Half Dome. Can’t wait to come back!

Great weekend getaway spot

Let me start off by saying there was a fairly big issue with 2 of the 3 spots we reserved. The paved lots were so far from level that we didn't have enough leveling blocks. I am confident that these unlevel spots , G80 and G81, are the exception and not the norm.

With that bit out of the way,…

  • Even with this stack of blocks, we were down about 4 inches in the front.
  • Beautiful surroundings!

Upper Pines Oasis

Great campground, nestled beneath the giant granite cliffs. For people with mobility issues, this site is a good walk away from the inner valley trails, fine for anyone else who is up for walking distances, because that is why you came to Yosemite!

FYI: No soap or hand drying items in bathrooms…

Lovely Rustic City

aka Curry Village

My daughters and I have now stayed in both the canvas tent/cabin and a hard-sided cabin. Both provide comfortable beds with sheets and a warm blanket on each. (If you like fluffy pillows, bring one from home.)

We stayed in the heated tent/cabin during a major snowfall and…

Deer Creek Camping

We stayed in site 15 and it was very nice. Large site with plenty of room for trailer and two big tents. Very short walk down to Huntington Lake and was ideal for swimming with the kids.

Not bad for primitive camping/boondocking

Nice quiet place to camp next to Yosemite. Pretty bare bones just a trash can and port a potties but it’s free :) note that somewhere to the east of the trash can there must be a wasp nest as I woke up to quite a few around my tent but they didn’t seem too aggressive

Dinkey Creek Site 41

Booked this site at the last minute. Given more time I'd choose a different site as this challenging to back into with our 26 foot travel trailer, site was right next to the bathroom, and sites in this section are pretty close together. On the plus side it was clean and well tended by camp…
