Very basic, tightly packed.

Your typical KOA, with less fan fare than most. Super tight packed slots, barely a tree between every few. No real landscaping or frills.

Very nice staff.

If you need a basic place to hook up and spend a night this will do the trick.

Ehh

Convenient location as nothing else was around but literally in the middle of no where. Big spacious site for class A pulling a trailer but the hookups were too spread apart that we had to back up in the morning to release black tank. The roads were quite uneven and tight when exiting in the…

Pretty nice RV park

Pretty standard park here. Very nice spots with plenty of space. 30 and 50 amp hookups with water and sewage. It gets five stars because we were able to reserve a spot after hours. This park is next door to a gas station as well so you can fuel up as you leave.

My stay

Lots of trees which is great unless you have a satellite dish on top of your RV. I should have scouted the place first to get a site with a clear sky. A section of road leading into the park is extremely bumpy. Careful with carbonated drinks after you arrive. Laundry machines are credit card…

Sketchy

Not close enough to nature. Sketchy characters hang around. Facilities are not cared for.

Much improved

We had a wonderful time. We had camped here about 10-15 years ago and found the park to be a bit dusty, dry, and run down. This time it was very green, very shady, and well kept. The host was very nice and friendly. There is a small convenience store with all the last minute essentials. There are a…

Right in the king river

If you have a long fifth wheel or RV this place is perfect pull through parking full hook up. The front desk lady is so nice he has a small store there for incidentals that you might’ve forgot. Clean quiet. Great family place

One night stop over off the 99

We stayed here on a Monday night and it was peaceful. The staff was friendly. Frank even came by to check on us. Spots are wide and clean. Our spot had some shade. The spots on either side of us had a bit more. It was buggy and hot but it was august!

Forgot to mention they are working on a…

Parking lot, but clean

This campground is basically a parking lot, with very few shaded areas. There are some trees that offer shade, but only a few. It has full hook up. It has level, gravel sites. The office staff is kind. The bathrooms are impeccably clean. Really nice showers. Nice pool. Far enough off of route 5…

Almond Tree oasis

Great stop off if you are heading in San Francisco. Sites are level, just wide enough for Rv with slides and long enough if you are towing a car. Not many shade trees. I got lucky and pick spot 44 which is right across from the pool and showers and best of all a huge shade tree.

Horrible

This KOA was horrible. It was unkempt, the grass was dead, no gravel, no shade and the camp was set up so your camper was in the sun all day. Also, had friends who stayed in a cabin which had roaches. The bathroom was CO-ED - but let me explain. When I say co-ed, I mean a single room with showers…

Nice meadow and close to sequoia Trees

It was a long windy drive up to the summit there’s a swim hole along the South Fork Tule River at the base of the mountain towards the lake in Porterville that has natural rock slides. The campsite has a huge meadow in the middle and beautiful views of trees. On the opposite side of the mountain…

Beautiful and Remote

We loved our stay at this campground. It was beautiful, quite and the camp host was incredibly kind. My only complaint is that we were very far from any good hikes. My partner and I ended up driving 3hours to Sequoia NP so we could get a good one in. However, if you want a nice, lazy weekend in the…

Friendly host, dusty site

Advertised at $35 on The Dyrt, it was $63 with a discount. Closest bath house was mediocre, and no WiFi! Nice registration person offered her personal hotspot. As my 5th rv camping experience, I’m learning what to ask for up front.
