What a wonderful campground with a beautiful pond and hang gliding site. Very clean bathrooms and laundry room. Spencer is a great camp host and is very accommodating with anything that you would need help with. Definitely will be coming back.

Fantastic Glamping !

I used to camp in the Sequoia's as a kid and I made a last-minute decision to spend a night as close to King's Canyon National Park as possible the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'm SO glad and feel super lucky to have found this retreat area and accommodations! Spencer, the owner and operator, was responsive and helpful in getting me in last minute and he's just a super genuine human being. We stayed in one of his off-grid yurts and it was perfect. I was toasty warm under the covers at night and felt super cozy and safe. The property itself provided scenic, long walks and comfortable hanging out with other guests. Spencer has done, and is doing, such a great job setting this unique area (a historic hang-gliding landing strip ) up to accommodate other humans who are simply looking to connect, be among nature, and other like-minded humans. We will certainly be back!

Nice quiet beautiful camp.

Found this campground for Memorial Day weekend.  What a score.  Just 25 minute drive to the entrance of National Park.  But did enjoy staying in campground with nice walking trails around the property and peaceful pond to canoe.  Missed the hang gliders while I was at Kings Canyon but very interesting folks.  Spencer was great about communicating, checking in to see if there was anything needed and providing information about the local area. RV parking area is very open with space between and provides water and sewer and picnic table.  Lots of dry grass as is expected this time of year so there were fox tails in the pet fur.  Look forward to staying again in the future.

Camping Near Kings Canyon and Giant Sequoias

Great location to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park about 30 mintues to giant Sequoias! The property was wonderful, very quiet, and peaceful. There are 2 lakes on the property & access to another upper mountain ridge (20-30ish mins away) with some great views of the valley, and you can even camp up there (tent/ van/small RV). We stayed at lower main camp with 30 ft RV, and had plenty of room. Spencer was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we need- he even offered getting stuff for us in town! The sites have water and sewer hookups & when we stayed he had one spot with full electric but he is working on full hookups for all the sites. We pretty much had the place to ourselves or 1 other camper here and there. The community bathrooms and showers are very nice and clean! & access to laundry was a nice plus! Oh there are people hang gliding and paragliding here which was super cool to watch both at take off (upper spot) and landing (main camp). Verizon was excellent & wifi is available! If you are looking for affordable camping 30 minutes to giant Sequoias, low-key peaceful spot with plenty of room & nice people (hosts and hang-gliding community) look no further. We would definitely stay here again!
