Much better than I expected

I had a giant campsite overlooking the heavily flowing creek. The creek was so clean and beautiful. The amazing thing is I brush-crashed for hours and didn’t get a single bug bite. The site was a bit messy when I arrived, but the ranger pulled up right as I got there to empty the trash bin. He said the crows scatter the garbage. A family of 2 peahens, a peacock, and 3 babies hung out near the creek. Beautiful birds. After walking around the creek for an hour, I came back to see a few bundles of wood left for me. I think the ranger found them at a site and gifted them to me. Very nice person!

Weekend Trip

Great little camp ground. The birds were super cool to look at. The creek near by was full because of all the rains that were gotten this year. Would camp here again if given the opportunity.

Horrible as in Horrible

We camped here once and will never go back again!!

The quite hours rule from 9pm to 7am  here doesn’t apply. Ranger doesn’t check the campers that are really noisy. If you want a relaxing camping, camp somewhere else. Otherwise you’ll enjoy the noise of inconsiderate and drunkard campers for the rest of the night.

Great camping spot

Cool place close to a small river. Includes a couple of large fields and playgrounds, large BBQ areas, and even an aviary. The only quam would be that though there are about ten designated rv spots with hookups they advertise the majority of their spots as rv/tents. The issue is that most rvs should definitely not attempt parking in these spots.

Close

Cool little county park with some full hook up spots. Nice level concrete pads. Non hook up spots are dirt with some general use water. Nice oak trees sprawling through the park. Great creek when flowing.

Pricey, Loud, Dirty

With the online reservation fee on top of the nightly rate, this campground gets pricey! Sites are pretty much on top of each other, and very close to the road where you’ll hear traffic from 6:00am-12:00am at least. My site was full of trash.

Not very busy

We were on the way to the KOA across the creek, and saw this place. You can reserve and pay online, but they charged $8 transaction fee. No cash/checks accepted. Quiet overnight, but the road is right there for the am traffic. Level spots, paved, full hookups avail. Quirky aviary on the park.

Pretty, but not if you are trying for peace & quiet

This campground was pretty, but had some issues. If you are looking for a campground where you can sit and enjoy the quiet and nature, this isn't it. If you want a place to have a big group camp/party, then this would work

Pros:

  • Beautiful trees/shade

  • Decently sized sites and parking

  • Really cool aviary

  • Seaspnal creek

  • showers and flush toilets available

  • lots of accesible trash cans

Cons

  • there was a lot of trash on the ground around and in the sites

  • the limit of people/tents per site isn't enforced. There were sites with easily 15-20 people staying there

  • It is right next to the highway, so lots of road noise at night, and apparently in the early morning some locals seem to get a kick out of laying on their horns as they pass the campsite.

  • Quiet hours were also not enforced. Music blasting and loud partying until midnight +

Quaint County Park

Has some decent shaded spots though some are too close to the main road. Good spot for families.

Relax and visit the birds!

This was our first time here and we loved it! Small campground that is very well kept and cozy. When you drive in you pass by a large aviary (yup you read that right!) and apparently there’s wild peacocks that live here too!
Drive in and reach the hookup sites / these are typical, stacked somewhat close together.
Drive a bit farther, where we stayed, and although no hookups, more spread out and quieter which we prefer. Bathroom facilities, centrally located, were clean. Camp host available to answer question and friendly too!

Each site has picnic table and fire pit.

Tmobile cellular worked just fine. No WiFi

Great getaway for the weekend - will definitely return!

Very nice campground.

Very shady. If you go in the spring, there may be a creek that is close to the campground. They have bathrooms, picnic tables and fire rings.
