Nice Little Campground

This is such a nice and small campground, it's low key and seems to be overlooked because there always seems to be sites available.

We stayed in site #13, which is a weird "pull in" site, which in all the traveling we've done, we've never stayed in one before. So you pull in forward (not back in), because  all your hookups are to the left of the site, on the driver's side.  Which is fine, except that unless you have a long sewer hose, your hose won't reach from the back of your RV to the sewer connection. Luckily there were vacant spots when we left, so we backed into a vacant spot with a  traditional setup and dumped on our way out.

The best part of this campground is the creek that runs behind it. It's so nice and refreshing on a hot day, and safe for little kids to splash around in. There's also a park, day use area, playground, and some sort of meeting spot adjacent to this campground. The showers were nice (coin operated) and as a full timer I always love to see laundry machines at campgrounds.

Pricey, but that's just the norm now.  I think our one night was about $50.  Great little place.

Best RV park for tent campers

Camped here 4th of July weekend and it was quiet and family friendly. Bathrooms were clean, people were respectful, and it was just an all around nice place to camp - expensive though.

Lovely serene tranquil small full hookup campground

Camp Comfort in Ojai - i didn't know what to expect but was pleased how amazing it is. A small campground with 16 full RV hookup sites and a camphost run by the county and decent priced. Rangers that check in with you and asks if they can help with anything, all easy, peasy, nice. The location is phenomenal - surrounded by hills that bask in a beautiful golden light before sunset, a creek runs along the edge making the area right in front of the hills like a tropical garden -green and lush. The birds are singing in a chorus and closer to sunset and at night it seems a thousand frogs are croaking. Amazing! There was a wedding in the park and a baby shower while we were here. I can see why they chose this park. Each site has water, sewer, electric, a fire ring and a bench/table. The sites are paved and flat but the surrounding area in the site is dirt so some had a tent up too. Each site is pretty spacious. There seem to be partial shade throughout. The adjacent park is full of beautiful trees and lush. The bathrooms were nice and clean as well as the laundry area. I didn't use their showers as we have our own in our trailer.

We biked into Ojai thru green lushness and beautiful silvery sheer like oak trees, a nature wonder. There are bike trails going all over Ojai and all the way to Ventura although from the campground into town uou are along a road that just is super lush. The foodin Ojai is really good. The architecture has a lot of mission remenants or replicas. It's quaint and fun! Hippie meets new chic sort of.

It's hot in the day though right now but cools at night and we left our trailer windows open all night. There were some flies and a few mosquitos probably due to that the creek is almost dry byt its still very lush here, almost tropical looking.

We will however be back in fall and spring and probably winter but summer might be a little hot for us. It was 90 or 92 in the day time during our visit and upper 40s /lower 50s at night.

Lives up to the name!

This is without doubt the best little campground in the Ventura county area. The Hosts are simply amazing and the facilities reflect their hard work and diligent nature. Great park alongside with really nice seating and playground for kids Showers, a small well kept laundry, plus each site is meticulously cleaned after each guest leaves making it ready and fresh for new people coming in. Honestly the best camping site I have ever stayed at. And the best bit... Free high speed WiFi!! Wow!

Great Campground with birding and nature near Ojai

They saved our camping weekend when all the National Parks suddenly closed. We stayed here 2 nts in mid Sept 2020 and had a really nice time. Site was quiet, level and hookups were perfect. Probably the best campground hosts we've encountered anywhere. Spotless, clean bathrooms. There's a surprising amount of nature to watch here. The creek running through was full of frogs & small fish. Many different birds are found here. We saw lots of red-headed woodpeckers as well as herons and smaller birds. There's not an easy way to go hiking since the local road is narrow (one star subtracted). But, the adjacent park was great for yard games, frisbee, and ladderball (bring your own).

RV oriented park

It’s adjacent to a little city-style park. There were only RVs when I arrived and many had been very sprawled out with grills/etc. given the fairly high price I elected not to reserve a spot and move on to Dennison where I felt much more comfortable camping.

Great Stay!

At first, we thought it was a tad pricey but after you realize what all you’re paying for ya wonderful!

We had an RV, two cars. and a tent and they allowed us to use one spot, for $30 a night! Which is pretty rare!

SUPER fast wifi(if that’s your thing, we were here for a little under two weeks, so it was nice!), electric hookups, picnic table and fire pit! AMAZING bathrooms and coin showers as well as coin laundry!

The ADORABLE town of Ojai is a quick 5 min drive up the road with anything you could ever want! The camp host is an amazing older guy, who’s incredibly friendly and takes pride in this campground!

They lock the gates at night (you can still get in and out!) so you feel safe, they allow pets, and even though it’s buy a road you don’t hear any noise at night!

Perk (or maybe not a perk if you’re not into it), it’s one of the most haunted campgrounds in the US!
