Nice Getaway!

Quiet and nice 2-day stay. Alexi from reception was super nice and courteous. We couldn’t be more grateful to her! Our lot was secluded, private and close to the entrance/exit. The only thing was the unlevel ground we were on. Our RV was a simple 30’ rental without any leveling. Many peacock’s roam around the premises and they can be very intrusive! Playgrounds, zip lining and a massive bounce pad were all on site. Make sure you hike down to the creek!

Fun stuff to do

Nice campground. Plenty of things to do. Jump pad, pool, zip line, playground, creek. Front desk staff was exceptional. Few cons. Park was a bit dirty lots of trash around and generally not very clean. Bathrooms were really gross. Facilities were a little run down. Our spot was tiny but most others seem descent sized

Great for families

We are at site 53. Close to restrooms and showers. Our kids love all the extra activities like the playground and jumping pillow. They are too short for the high ropes course but would love to do it when tall enough. The pool isn’t open yet either but they are having a great time with what is available.

Beautiful. Lots of trees and peacocks

The campsites are in a large park, with trees and lots of space—not your basic parking lot KOA. Peacocks roam the grounds, but were not noisy. There’s a piol and playground, but no laundromat. The restrooms and showers for the Birch sites are up a long flight of stairs, mail be not great for mobility challenged folks

Week in July

We spent 8 nights at this KOA in our 35’ fifth wheel. Enjoyed the campground feel, wood fires and kids making noise. It has a nice size pool that was busy each day with families having fun. The day time temperatures were in the 80’s and the nights cooled to a comfortable 65. We were in the Birch loop, site 41, a patio site. A little tough to level, but we got it to work. Enjoyed the peacocks that roam campground.

Fun times at this KOA

This KOA is nestled in the hills of Santa Paula. The KOA is consistent with its name, meaning the kids amenities are all there, trampoline pillow, nice walking trails, walking labyrinth, and of course the adventure course and zip lines which are great activities for all ages. This place also has teepee tents to stay in and wagon coaches with beds to also rent and stay in. Recommend those two things in the summer months. The pool is a nice size too, plenty of room. We went during January and there was also a rushing River that you can get to by a 30yard hike, great for a dip or letting the dogs play. The only downside is that you pay KOA rates and most of there sites are only water and power. They have about 10 sites that have sewer hookups too, and for all the others they have a dump station when you leave. Some trees may be low, be aware pulling through and parking in sites. There are peacocks that roam the campsites freely, they are loud and not scared. Overall we had fun and good weather.

Testing out the kit for the first time, so I’m going KOA for a few days in the tent…

Well-run place. Very nice shop staffed with knowledgeable people. Very clean and well-manicured grounds. Great for families. Safe. Minimal noise. Feels far from everything, but is only a short drive from LA/SFV. The adjacent town of Santa Paula is a great place to spend time. They’ve got a proper classic downtown with loads of shops and restaurants. Overall, this entire valley is good for the soul. Fertile and green. A hidden gem for sure. I’m the only one tenting here, so it’s been very quiet.

A quiet place to enjoy the spectacular beauty of nature

This is a true jewel of a campground. Not only lots of activities for kids but the views are spectacular of the mountains. Wild peacocks roam this campground. The facilities are well maintained and some being rebuilt after a fire. This location is more expensive than others but the views and facilities are worth it IMO. Warning, currently no dishwashing station and no dumping of grey water except at the dump station at the front of the camp. But otherwise it was amazing.

Family Oriented Place

From zipline obstacle courses to tie dye classes, this KOA easily occupies kids and has teepee and cabin rentals available for glampers, but nice showers, clean bathrooms and a roomy pool area really make this campground 5 stars.

Almost everything you could want.

The store was closed and it was a long walk to town but we saw a bird aviary. Peacocks everywhere. Nice and quiet. It rained on us so we used the worlds largest tarp over my friends pop up.

Great place to camp!

Booked a last minute trip and was not disappointed. This KOA site was great. You can either tent camp or RV. I tent camp and the sites were clean and spacious. Great shaded areas. Lots of trails and activities for both kids and adults. I took my two dogs and they loved it. My family stayed at one of the RV sites and had a great time too. Peacocks live there! They roost in the trees and just mingle with the campers without a care in the world. There is a store that sells firewood and other items you may need. Definitely going back!

Large full service site with lots of space on the bank of the Santa Paula creek.

Checked in the day after Thanksgiving without reservations. Staff was kind, helpful and available. Stayed in space #2. Right at the entrance. Sewer, water, 30&50amp, picnic table and fire ring included. House bathrooms available. And alot of family activity amenities. However all amenities were closed unbeknownst to us until after set up.

Fun place for young kids!

We recently stayed here, for the 1st time, last week. We decided to leave the travel trailer at home, and change it up! We stayed the 1st in a large teepee. It had beds for a total of six people. It was hot in the daytime, and got really cold at night, so we switched to a Glamping tent. The Glamping tent was nice! It had a very confortable queen bed, 2 lamps, a fan, a heater, a mini fridge and a microwave. It also had a futon type couch that made into a bed. Loved the Glamping tent.

Only downfall was, that the place does not enforce it quiet time rules. 10pm to 8 am. Late night loud groups, carrying on until 2 in the morning, loud obnoxious kids screaming at 6:15 in the morning...😩they have many beautiful Peafowl, and they can be loud too, but I only heard them once. The place has very nice tiled showers, with good water pressure, clean bathrooms, a big beautiful pool, but it was closed for the season.

There are fire pits throughout the 76 acre park, it was nice having a campfire, since so many places don’t allow them anymore...they have a very large jumping pillow for kiddos, my 6 year had a blast playing on it. They also have a zip line, but it was damaged in the large fire last year, and is being fixed currently. There is a stream that runs thru the property, it was fun to explore. They have a rock climbing wall, that is brought out on holiday weekends.

Lots of fun activities for kids, like crafts, making your own rocket to launch, etc. It is not the place to come, if you want a quiet, mellow place to read a book! It is busy, and loud. They do not have any laundry facilities, nor do they have a little store. The prices on everything are going up 10% on everything, next year. This means that most campsites with full hook-ups with be $ 71 a night, ( not bad ) but the large teepees will cost about $ 200 a night, and the Glamping tents, about $ 180 a night.

You can buy a KOA discount card, for just $ 30 bucks, and it gets you 10% off, each stay for a year. Valid at all KOAs in America, and some in Australia! We had a good time, and plan to go back in the summer next year. Hopefully, with our travel trailer, it will be less loud 😉
