This campground was nice. The camp host really did a great job of keeping things clean and nice. Some shady spots and a really great seasonal creek.
Pros
- Quiet location. No road noise
- well-maintained sites
- seasonal creek -- and a nice little hike up the creek
- cool "ghost town" right outside the campground
- friendly & helpful camp host
Cons
- You have to pack in your water
- several of the sites are pretty small
- while there are some shady spots, there are a lot with no tree cover and it gets HOT.
This campground was pretty, but had some issues. If you are looking for a campground where you can sit and enjoy the quiet and nature, this isn't it. If you want a place to have a big group camp/party, then this would work
Pros:
Beautiful trees/shade
Decently sized sites and parking
Really cool aviary
Seaspnal creek
showers and flush toilets available
lots of accesible trash cans
Cons
there was a lot of trash on the ground around and in the sites
the limit of people/tents per site isn't enforced. There were sites with easily 15-20 people staying there
It is right next to the highway, so lots of road noise at night, and apparently in the early morning some locals seem to get a kick out of laying on their horns as they pass the campsite.
Quiet hours were also not enforced. Music blasting and loud partying until midnight +
