This park is well-maintained, with clean picnic areas and plenty of space for fishing, hiking, and just relaxing by the water. The views are stunning, especially at sunset. Slope Game

Beautiful peaceful place on the Arkansas River

Beautiful place located not far off I-40. Easy to get to just know you’re going through downtown Morillton and past some churches then past some farmland to get out there. Beautiful and peaceful place to just sit and watch the river. Mr. Jack, campground host, was the perfect combination of helpful but not overbearing or too chatty. The ranger patrols frequently which is nice but this was a very quiet place.

Loved this camp area.

The only thing I didn’t like was there is no swimming area. Other than that it’s WONDERFUL

Great find

We were heading to the Arkansas Goat Festival and were having a problem finding a place to camp. This park was a pleasant find! It is located on the Arkansas River right next to a dam. We have seen quite a bit of wildlife including and up close encounter with a bald eagle, several blue herons, and a few river otter sightings. The sites are nice and peaceful with several offering shade. The price is 20 per night but is open only from March 1-October 31 with a 14 night maximum stay. The bathrooms are old and in need of some updating but are functional. They have out in new water lines and electric lines and boxes. The park is very well kept and clean. We look forward to many more visits to this park!
