ScoutSite is a good size located on the shore of Lake Delano under trees. Great view. Fire ring and picnic table equipped. The temp is still hot and humid but there is a breeze which makes it bearable in the daytime, nights are cooler and comfortable. Plenty to explore with Pine Mountain Trail close by. Would stay here again. This site is water and electric only with dump station at entrance.
ScoutThis campground has so much potential to be great. The volunteers were awesome and helpful. They checked on us multiple times during out stay. The grounds were poorly maintained. The gravel area in most sites were overtaken with grass and ants. The water line at our site leaked and the concrete slab was flooded. The road to the boat launch was closed due to a downed tree limb that looked to have been there for weeks. Laundry services had been removed.
On a positive note, deer were plentiful and a great bonus. Wife, infant son, and I left a day early as our tent and bedding had been infested with ants.
Verizon coverage was spotty. Data speeds were very slow if available at all.

Cedar Trail was the only place we found that had a reasonable monthly rate not much for amenities, but a safe convenience place to stay. Sites are priced by the day the week or the month, so if you book 32 days that’s priced at the monthly rate plus one day not at a prorated monthly rate.

LegendIt’s not often that I award a campground five stars, but this one is well deserving of those stars. We loved everything about this campground and were content to hang out at our site and hike the park, never wanting to leave. The campsites are well spaced so you don’t feel like you are right on top of your neighbors. We stayed in one of the full hook-up, 50-amp sites. The best thing is the price– only $28/night and just $14 for those holding a senior Interagency Park Pass which is great for a full hook-up site. Roads are easy enough to navigate by any size RV. All sites have a fire, picnic table, small wooden table and a lantern hook. Some sites are sloped and you might scrape the back of your RV. Small laundry which had one wash machine and one dryer. The restroom was clean and showers were free. The campground is not really close to anything- about 30-minutes from the town of Eufaula. About 5-10 minutes away is the Fort Gaines where there are a couple of restaurants, gas station, and small market. We were happy to just hang out at our campsites and enjoy the view. There is a small hiking trail that was a nice walk.

Also you will have zero phone service so will not be reachable. Recommend downloading an offline map and sharing park phone numbers with family in case of emergency.
ScoutWhat a charming little place. Great showers houses, propane filling station, laundry on site and lots of tails to hike or ride ATV’s but my favorite part is the farm animals and the host. They are super sweet.
