Green River State Park Campground

We have been to a lot of campgrounds in the past 30 years if camping and this campground is amazing. It's absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite so far.

This was our first time visiting this site. We generally stay on BLM land or just enjoy dispersed camping BUT this month it was crazy hot with very little wind and we just didn’t want to get the generator out. We looked up this campground on the app Dyrt and found this little gem. It’s very clean with well taken care of restrooms ( little ventilation but clean) along with well kept showers. Water and electric hook up are available along with a few snacks and ice at the front for purchase. Would definitely stay here again!

The campground was pretty, bathrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The campground is in a little town just off I-70. I’m a female solo traveler and I felt safe while I was there.

This is a well-run Utah State Park. The sites have a lot of room. First time visiting here was in September. Now we were back in March to have access to showers and potable water before the next stop. Super empty, so very quiet. Not as pretty as in the summer as all the trees are bare and the grass is brown. Having had no shower for a few days, we were looking forward to hot showers. They were just barely hot, which was a disappointment. The other thing we noticed this time that we missed last time is that in the older loop with big trees the electrical boxes are on the passenger side. It worked out for us, but make sure your cord is long enough. Bathrooms clean, just wish the showers had been a tad hotter (and it was a cold day!).

We needed a spot to stop heading west on 70. Arrived here at 6:30 pm on a September weekday and there were still 6 or so spots available FCFS. We picked a large site. The grounds have very large trees that shade the campsites. The bathrooms were spotless. Didn’t use the showers. Very quiet campground. One train before bedtime. Looking forward to visiting the John Wesley Powell museum on our way out of town. Water and 20/30/50 amp electric. $45

Good size sites. Boat launch area to river. No great swimming area. Wonderful disk golf 18hole course (and 9 hole reg golf) next door. (10$)

spacious campsites. one shower house is being renovated the other one needs to be. friendly staff. easy access. would recommend when you are making reservations to read descriptions carefully. some sites are pull in versus back in. nice picnic tables and fire rings. many are pull thrus

The campground is fine. But the showers were disgusting.. I have stayed in numerous Utah state parks in the past year, and most showers are fine but this had dried hair and dirt on the floor in all of the showers. I tried to find a clean shower room.

It’s a beautiful green trees and grass oasis. Well maintained in the middle of a golf course. Very level

Sites are not too close together, seems each site has water and electricity. Showers are fine- not real clean, but large, private, water is hot with decent pressure. Well lit area.

Definitely call ahead for availability.

Green River State Park is located on the Green River and is a great place to canoe or fish on. We stayed at site GR12 and the grounds were kept clean. We opted for a partial hook up for our early Spring trip. The Campground was not full which gave us ample space to spread out. They have clean public restrooms 🚻 and plenty of trees (once they start blooming again). I would recommend this Campground.

Stayed here twice, winter and summer. Very adequate, but crowded in summer.

Stayed as an overnight stop. Pads are level, lots of grass, and plenty of space between sites. This is a great place to stay after spending a day at Arches National Park, its just about an hour northwest. Showers are not anything special bit they are hor and free.

Beautiful nature surrounding the campground. Camp sites felt very large with tons of space & privacy. The staff was nice and we checked in quite late around 10PM and they were still there and welcomed us. Only stayed for one night so didn't have the time to explore around too much.

Love love love this place! We were so sad we only stayed here for a night. It has so much to offer for being in the middle of no where desert. Golf, fishing, hiking, swimming, enjoying the big trees in hammocks, etc. We loved it and will be back. it's a great place to stop over night too when traveling.

Beautiful campground on the Green River within Dinosaur National. Flush toilet bathrooms throughout the campground and potable water spigots, no dump station. We enjoyed riding bike riding within the campground, hiking the trail along the river and playing in the river. The dinosaur quarry was awesome! We did the hike down from the quarry to the parking lot to see the various fossils and petroglyphs. Fires were allowed when we were there in designated pits

A small, cute state park in Green River Utah. Boat access to the Green River. Hemmed in on all sides by a private golf course. There are 40 spaces and a group site. The bathroom and showers are clean. There are 30 and 50 amp hookups, water, and a dump station. Dumpsters are available for your trash. Overall a nice place for a night.

This campground is so nice! The sites are spaced out to give everyone their privacy. Very clean grounds and we'll maintained. Walk to the Green River to fish, kayak, or canoe. This state park also has a full fledged, beautiful golf course! We just stayed one night passing through but it's definitely the kind of spot we'd love to stay for a weekend. Loved our stay would highly recommend.

Got into the area late and needed a place to stay but everything was booked or taken...this place had 4 sites on a FCFS basis and it was awesome! Spread out sites for a state park! Bathhouses were conveniently located and clean! $35 for water and electric with a dump station and water, this was perfect compared to everywhere else I checked ($50 PLUS). Highly recommend!

After a long day at Arches, covered in dust, the shower here felt like magic. Otherwise, only a so-so site. The park is in the middle of town (my campsite looked onto someone's front yard), and traffic noise is audible. Still, extremely clean and easy, which is great.

Only stayed one night but it was good. Pretty spot with large shady (but open) sites. Clean bathrooms, no showers. Dump station is at boat ramp.

Clean and quiet. Lots of space between sites. Plenty of much needed shade. We are here in early July and at 8:30 it’s still 90 degrees (except in the bathroom where I think it’s 190!). Definitely the best place around.

Was there for a couple of days during visit to Arches National Park. Nice, clean and well maintained.

Expensive but beautiful campground full of plots with full hookups. Next to the river.

We loved the mature landscaping, great shade and plenty of space between campsites! Awesome clean showers and bathrooms, and the golf course is right next door! We loved staying here, and we will definitely be back!

drove from fort collins to raft green river down to confluence, stayed here before we put in.. super clean bathrooms, campsites were spread out, not too close and not noisy, great access to boat ramp, and friendly staff!!!  would definitely come back and probably will next month to do green river again!!

We rolled into Green River at about 1 AM after 18 hours of driving from Washington. It had never felt so good to fall onto the ground and go to sleep. The only thing that was a problem throughout the night was the sound of a train going by (this likely couldn't be heard from all of the camp sites) and horses neighing from who knows where.

The grounds have clean bathrooms and accessible water. Each campsite has at least 1 picnic table as well and a fire pit (I believe). We didn't spend long at in Green River State Park, but it was a nice convenient place to stay the night after a LONG day of driving.
