Shady Acres RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Rates at Shady Acres RV Park run up to $61 per night, with reservations available and full hookups for rigs up to 60 feet. The park sits inside Green River, Utah, close to a public golf course and an adjacent RV and car wash. Sites are mostly gravel with some sandy patches, and reviewers note the ground stays firm even after rain. Green River State Park Campground is about a half mile away, giving campers a public-land alternative nearby.

The park is a large facility with roughly 100 spaces, though occupancy tends to run low, with one April visitor counting only a dozen rigs on the property. Sites are flat and well-spaced. Shade is limited, which is typical for this part of the desert, and the overall feel is functional rather than landscaped. The bathhouse has two showers, two urinals, a toilet, and two sinks. Water is on-demand, so expect a short wait for hot water. The bathhouse has consistently drawn clean marks from reviewers.

On-site amenities include a fenced dog park, coin laundry, and WiFi. Verizon LTE signal has been reported as solid. The tap water carries a noticeable chlorine taste. A fenced playground is on the property, though one reviewer noted it was not well-maintained. Caleb C. summed up the trade-offs plainly: "Not many trees and dusty/sandy but I guess that comes with the area." Shady Acres works best as an overnight or short-stay base for RV travelers passing through or staging a trip into campgrounds around Green River.

Many campers appreciated the quiet atmosphere, friendly owners, and quality facilities including clean restrooms and on-site laundry. The dusty terrain with limited grass was noted, though sites are well-spaced and level.

Large campground

It is a large campground with a hundred or so spaces. Dry, desert surface. Amenities are sufficient. When we were there (april 2026) the were only a dozen guests. Good for one night to us.

The campsite

This camping establishment is okay you have a bathhouse with two showers a toilet, 2 urinals and two sinks. The bathhouse is clean and the hot water is an on demand type so it takes a few minutes to work. The lots are nice and flat on very fine gravel ground. The host was extremely nice and friendly.

Beautiful city

Inner city beauty. To be just inside a quiet little town, it gives a sense of safety and security.

Shady is a good name

This is the worst RV park in Green River Utah. No staff - no propane - not well kept areas.

Just OK

Stayed in a cabin as we were too tired to set up a tent. Tent sites are almost non existent. Showers were clean. The door to our cabin had some pretty severe gaps. And overall there was faint but lingering smell of hot garbage. Also noting it pretty much was a KOA at one time. Playground is old and full of garbage/food wrappers containers.

Good visit

Has trees , Good Verizon LTE, water a little chlorine taste, RV and car wash next door, 40 channels air tv, fuel available, 45 minutes from Moab . Under new owners, playing catch-up on some of the deferred maintenance items. Next to public golf course. Town is quiet with two decent restaurants

Good place to rest, quiet

Stayed here for 3 nights in 37' 5th wheel. RV park is quiet. It's a little old, but not run down and not trashy at all. Some grassy sites. Mostly Gravel, some sandy areas. Not muddy if wet. Good hookups. Pet friendly. I feel a little bad for giving three stars, but I should give it four because there's always availability it seems. I know many of you are a bunch of softies so I don't want to skew the reviews with my four-star. This is in the middle of the desert! Hot days and cool nights. 50 amp. Fresh Water. Sewer hookups. Have video here of drive through

Friendly and convenient

Nice place. Laundry on site which was the biggest draw. Can’t find a laundromat in 100 miles of here lol. Reasonable prices. Clean. Has a fenced in dog park. Not many trees and dusty/sandy but I guess that comes with the area.

Not too bad

Some trees but lots of dirt and no grassy areas. Spaces were nicely distanced for the price ($59 a night for pull-thru FH). They do have a leash less dog park and very reasonably priced laundry.
