Hike Broken Top Mountain in Bend, OR!

Bend, OR is a budding outdoor destination out west. If you’ve ever been to places like Boulder, CO, Moab, UT, or Flagstaff, AZ and loved it, you’re going to love Bend, OR. With so much outdoor recreation around Bend it’s hard to choose what to do.

Should you find yourself in Bend we highly recommend checking out Broken Top Mountain. The 4-6 mile round trip hike is uphill but is relatively manageable. The hike takes you along a glacial lake and to incredible mountain views.

Keep your eyes peeled. A little backcountry hiking experience will certainly come in handy since there’s no marked trail. However, since this hike is so popular a trail has been beaten down.

Once you’re at the top you’ll have incredible views of the Cascades including Mt. Baker, Mt. Thielsen, and even Mt. Hood on a clear day!
