Explore Bixhoma Lake, Oklahoma

A fisherman’s dream is right outside of Tulsa, OK.

With an enforced low-wake zone, Lake Bixhoma is a peaceful place to get on the water and cast some lines.

Birds and the occasional catch are the only things that will cause ripples on these still waters.

Get an aerial view of the lake and see the view from a fly-fisherman’s kayak in this video (the description calls the lake a “private pond,” but it is very much fully public and a full-on lake)!

And check out this adorable family who’s just arrived at the lake and excited for a day of adventure. All pull-out parking should have its own family drone shot…

To celebrate Lake Bixhoma, Green Goo is giving away a $100 gift card. Enter to win here.

The next time you’re looking for a great day near Tulsa, outside, here are some other great ideas.
