Welcome to our new weekly column sharing this week’s camping news and can’t miss deals!

Lately, Dyrt readers have been preparing for spring and summer camping trips by preparing their camp kitchens, making sure their layers are sufficient and maybe even shopping for a rooftop tent or camper! As springtime pokes its head around the corner we’re certainly getting excited for upcoming sunny days at camp. For those of us who can’t wait, it’s the perfect time to visit a desert campground! Zion Wright Family Ranch, Utah’s Valley of the Gods or any of the great dispersed spots in Arizona are great options. Wherever you chase away the winter blues, please leave a review.

Today in the Dyrt Digest, we share a camp cooking set that is sure to make your life easier, a permit lottery you can’t miss, and some seasonal snow sport deals.

Thinking of planning a trip to the World’s First National Park this summer? Yellowstone requires permits for any nights spent in the backcountry. Understandably those permits are in high demand in the summer (May 15 – October 31st) and if you wish to snag one the Early Access Permit Lottery is now open! Through March 20th you can enter for $10 via the Recreation.gov website. We wish you luck! But if you aren’t lucky enough to win one of these prized permits, we recommend setting up a Dyrt Alert for one of the many great Yellowstone campgrounds.
