Most RV shows are produced by event companies. This one is produced by two people who are, at this moment, living in an RV.
The OC RV & Van Lifestyle Show runs October 29 through November 1 at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland. It’s built by Rich Hutchins Jr. and Jennifer Evans, a husband-and-wife team who RV full time and have put together roughly the show they’d want to attend themselves. The 4-day event combines RVs and custom builds with the activities that make a weekend away memorable. Think bike trials stunt shows, RC car racing, and a skateboard competition, all set against the backdrop of a beach town in the fall.
Why there’s a bike trials show at an RV show
Richie’s background reads like a list of things people do when they can’t sit still: Hutch BMX, a professional motocross career, restoring classic cars between races to fund the next one, running a boat dealership, and now working as a mobile RV and boat mechanic.
That history is why the show looks the way it does. The stunt shows, the skate competition, the OC Customs & 4×4 Showcase, the boats: none of it is filler bolted onto a sales floor. It’s what the people producing the show actually do on their own time.
RVs are the center of it. Everything arranged around them is a version of the same question, which is what you want to do once you’ve parked. Fishing, riding, boating, bringing the kids along. The show puts all of it under one roof.
What’s actually on the floor

Around 250 RVs and custom vans, 100-plus exhibitors, and a section they call the RV Super Store stocked with parts and upgrades. Bayside, the OC Customs & 4×4 Showcase brings classic cars, lifted trucks, and one-off builds, alongside the Bronco Beach Bash.
The range is the point. Travel trailers, motorhomes, vans, and one-off builds are all in the same room, which means you can compare a family bunkhouse against a weekend rig in a single afternoon without driving between four dealerships.
Go talk to the builders

The real value at a show like this isn’t the rigs, it’s the people standing next to them.
KICKER Audio Works and BWT Offroad are doing live installs on-site, which means you can watch the work happen and ask the questions that don’t have good answers online. How long did that take? What did it actually cost? What would you do differently?
The Speaker Series is free
Running all four days in the Bayfront Ballroom on the second floor: first-RV buying advice, maintenance, and where to go along Maryland’s coast. Schedules are in the 2026 show guide.
It’s Halloween weekend
Friday, October 30, is the one to circle. From 4:30 to 7 p.m., the show hosts trick-or-treating with exhibitors, costume contests for adults, children, and pets, and a bike trials stunt show at 6 p.m., sponsored by Pohanka Automotive Group. Admission is free for anyone in costume, and leashed pets are welcome.
Saturday brings RC car racing and the Coastal Shred Fest skate competition.
Come for the candy, explore the RVs, vans, boats, and outdoor gear, and make a night of it with the whole family. If you’ve got kids, this is the rare RV show where they’re the ones who want to stay longer.
Your ticket comes with a year of PRO
Every ticket to the show includes a full year of The Dyrt PRO, a $59 value. That means camping maps you can download, offline access, and the trip planner. Tickets are here, and buying online saves you the line at the door.
Stay the weekend
Ocean City in late October is quiet and cheap, which is most of the appeal. The boardwalk without the August crowds, a beach you can have to yourself, and a town that still has a few things open. The show lists nearby accommodations if you’re driving in from out of state.
Then use the PRO year for what comes after. Spring sites in the mid-Atlantic book up early, and you’ll have twelve months to put it to work.
