PRO features to help you camp better all season long
Campers are already fueling up their RVs, hitching up their trailers, and hitting the road. If last year is any indication, a record number of people will be seeking a night under the stars this summer. That’s a lot of campers who need spots to pitch a tent or park a vehicle. In order to give our PRO members a leg up when it comes to finding the right campsite, we’re introducing PRO Maps, a new feature that brings all our popular maps together in one place.
PRO Maps: Together at last
All of our Pro Maps features — including Road Trip Maps, Cell Service Maps, and Public Land Maps — have moved and can now be accessed in one place. This makes it easier to toggle between different layers and go back-and-forth between different features. To use PRO Maps, just tap or click the Maps button on the bottom-right of the Map Search Page on our app or website.
Offline Access is now Offline Maps
The best campsites don’t always have a strong phone signal — or any signal at all — which is why we’ve made it simpler to create, save, and see Offline Maps. We’ve also bundled this feature with the rest of our maps so it’s easier to use. To create and save an Offline Map, just tap the Maps button on the bottom-right of the Map Search Page in The Dyrt app, then tap PRO Offline Maps. You can also find Offline Maps in the PRO Tools tab of your user profile in the app. Now you’ll be prepared next time you’re out in the boonies — zero bars, zero worries!
Trip Planner is now Road Trip Maps
Don’t worry — you can still find the best campsites along your route, estimate gas mileage, and get an idea of how long your drive will take. We’ve just integrated this feature into PRO Maps so it’s easier to use. Find Road Trip Maps by clicking or tapping the Maps button on the Map Search Page in our app or website; by clicking My Trips in the upper-right of our website; or by going to the Pro Tools tab of your user profile in the app. Then get on with planning that epic camping road trip!
Free Camping is now Public Land Maps
We’ve made it easier than ever to find free dispersed camping on USFS and BLM land in the same place you access the rest of your PRO Maps. Just tap the Maps button on the Map Search Page and look for Public Land Maps, then select one or both of the options to enable the layers on the map. Now you can see where you’re allowed to camp and where you aren’t. That means no more worrying about trespassing on private land — whew!
Cell Coverage is now Cell Service Maps
PRO campers love being able to discover which campsites have cell service so they can stay connected with loved ones and have peace of mind while on the road. Now you can toggle maps for each carrier on and off along with the rest of our PRO Maps features. Just tap the Maps button on the Map Search Page on our app or website. You can also search for Cell Service using the Filters on the Map Search Page on the web or in the app. Isn’t it nice knowing you can stay in touch (if you want to)?
