We assume it doesn’t involve sleeping in a deer carcass, though that would put your survival skills to the test, wouldn’t it?

The raw-meat-eating, backwoods-surviving television star Bear Grylls has partnered with Merlin Entertainment to present a new adventure theme park, targeting those who love an outdoor challenge but don’t actually want to be lost in the woods.

The Bear Grylls Adventure will offer visitors the chance to test their survival skills by experiencing rock climbing, indoor sky diving, and the highest free-roam ropes course in Europe. The permanent, 8,000 square foot facility will open in Birmingham (England, not Alabama) in 2018.

This sounds like a fun mashup of Six Flags and that school camping trip you took as a kid. Which is to say, it sounds like a whole lot of fun. Sure, there will probably be overpriced snacks and long lines, but at least you won’t have to hide from cartoon characters. (Just, maybe real bears?)

We’re looking forward to hearing more about The Bear Grylls Adventure when it opens next year. In the meantime, you can get outdoors for real; search for campgrounds on The Dyrt and go find an adventure!
