Lonely

Flaming George. Easy to find. We arrived on a Friday after and we thought site was closed. We were only campers in a 58 unit camp. Camp had two separate units with bathhouse and flush toilets trash containers. Each site had picnic table with cover fire pit and grill. With senior pass we paid $7 w/o…

Only $10 for electric and a free hot shower

This is a large fairgrounds parking lot that has a delightful camp host who lives on site. It was a great spot to wait out a snow storm. All gravel and right in town.

Closed Down Mid October

but I boondocked anyway as the lone camper in a great spot with awesome views. A maize of high desert gravel roads provided excellent hiking opportunities and access to a beach on the lake.

Beautiful sunset

Seemed like there were plenty of spots for campsites and RVs. The gravel road was well maintained. It was EXTREMELY windy but it had calmed down by the time the sun had began to set. The walk along the water was beautiful and we had found some incredible rocks. The sunset and the stars at night…

Relax to the highway noise.

Picture a bit of ground between a fence and a pile of wood with the sounds of trucks whirling past. If that sounds good to you then this is your place!

Why do highway campgrounds give tent campers the stick? Seriously? The tent sites are along a fence bordering the highway... at least put the…

An easy stop

The Travel Camp is a good place to stop if you’re short on options and don’t want to remove yourself too far from I-80. There are about 8 tent sites: basic sand-filled plot, grill, showers, and toilets nearby. The sand is hard so you better have a decent sleeping pad. The office closes at eight, so…

Beautiful and great for rockhounds!

First, I will start with this... there are spiders. Like a lot of them. They set up all over everything overnight and it takes about two hours to get them off of everything the next morning. If you hate spiders do not come here because it is kind of nightmarish. We only stayed two nights because…

Beautiful

There are many types of camping areas with a variety of ground. This beach area was beautiful. We were greeted with a huge herd of sheep one afternoon. Lots of wildlife. Very windy but it’s Wyoming; about 11am-dusk. Lots of great rockhounding in the area. BLM land; so 14 day limit. Would definitely…

Beautiful

Great dispersed camping. Beautiful views and we were able to launch our paddle board right from the shore. Homemade fire pits worked well.

Watch out for the sprinklers

Conveniently located campground near the marina with a very friendly host. Would recommend staying at the dispersed camping as this feels like a parking lot.

Love it everytime!

Sweet place! Totally affordable! Electric tent sites, 50 yds from the river, there is highway noise but our movie tuned it out, stayed multiple times to and fro across the country, kayla kills it with hospitality...this is my go to camp for taking I80!

Decent

Not bad, lake side and junk, people and their boats can be annoying, but it’s decent fishing and stuff. We just hung out and fished, swam, and kayaked!
