Sitting atop Little Mountain in southwestern Wyoming, this BLM dispersed area gives campers open sightlines and exposed sites with wide views, though strong winds can push visitors toward more sheltered spots along the road in. The access road handles dry conditions well enough for a minivan, but gets tricky when wet, and one reviewer in an AWD vehicle couldn't reach the summit from the southwest approach. Insects can be present in summer. No pets are allowed. Elk, bear, deer, and cattle move through the area regularly. Campers who want low-traffic dispersed camping with campsites near BLM Land — Rock Springs Field Office as a broader reference point will find this site well-suited to self-sufficient overnight stays.
