Great county park.

Really liked our site. Didn't feel crowded. Nice beach and trails. Pit toilets were fine as expected.

Nice campground

Campground has 10 sites for $30 a day, all with electricity and water. There is a dump station nearby behind the city garage for $10. There are vault toilets with free showers. The sites have immediate access to the river for fishing. There is a beach, two sand volleyball courts, boat launch, and…

  • fishing openings right behind your sites
  • a little close, but wide open behind to river

We ended up camping here after finding out the last site at Council Grounds was taken by the time we got there(we did call before we left). There were maybe only 1-2 other camp sites taken when we arrived and they were on the other end so nice and quiet. My kids and husband loved the campground.…

A little rustic, some like it that way.

If you prefer a little rustic and secluded and don’t mind vault toilets if you don’t have your own, this is a perfect place. It’s very wooded and the sites are private. It offers something for ATVers, horseback riders, anglers and hikers.

Not for camping but a great day activity location.

If you’re looking for a place to rest and play for the day this is a good choice. I grew up in this region and this little spot is a hidden gem for day camping, fishing, picnicking, and swimming.

Amazing canoe camping

The Turtle Flambeau Flowage is dubbed the "Boundary Waters of Wisconsin" and for good reason! The quality of the waters, vast array of channels, islands and camping spots is simply amazing.

There are several public boat launches for launching a canoe, kayak or fishing boat. Unfortunately there…

Nice campground for families

We had a great time for the most part.  We had an issue with bees in the tree on our campsite, but they came and took care of it right away.

Great water park area for the kids. Bathrooms were clean, but busy.

Great Campground with Great Service

We stayed in a rental trailer here and were very impressed! There is a good mix of open and wooded sites. The weekends it gets busy, but the sites are for the most part spaced well enough apart that you don’t feel packed in. The owners/management were very friendly and responsive to all of our…

What a gorgeous state park! From the moment you enter, you are in awe of the landscape. Trees tower above you as you drive through the park. For this particular trip, we reserved group sites A and B. They each have concrete pads for 3 campers and TONS of space to spread out and/or set up tents.…

Love this place!

Have been camping here several times and I still always enjoy it! The fishing is great- lots of bluegill!! Will catch on almost every throw! Great for taking kids fishing. You get a pier at your campsite to tie your boat up at. Nice area for swimming and even has a good hike! Campsites are very…

Great owners

We called in a rush at 830PM during the week and the sweet owners told us to come on over! The campground was full of kids roaming everywhere but it was still very clean and quiet. We were in a nice spot away from the action but loved their nice playground and pool. As a bonus, they were very…
