Owners are great, campground is clean and quiet, nice showers, not really a kids campground more like a relaxing or fishing campground.
Came to this campground for 3 days to hang out at the fireman’s picnic in arborvitae. The campground is old as dirt, had a nice lake for swimming and fishing but that’s it. Tiny game room with Pac-Man . 2 wash machines and couple dryers. The sites are very small. Electricity has no breakers to shut the juice off before hook up which is very dangerous . Water is good pressure. All in all the campground works if you don’t want to do anything and just sleep.
We have been coming here for a long time. It is under new management and we thought things would get better. While we were here other guests trashed the beach and had dogs running and using the bathroom throughout the campsite. The rules for dogs were to keep them on leashes and clean up after them. These rules were not being followed which caused the beach, in the past is lovely, but with the dogs using it as a bathroom the beach smelt like poop. Nobody in our week of staying cleaned up after them so we needed to go somewhere else to swim. If your place is pet friendly please make sure to keep up with your own rules. The cabins are run down but showers are hot and the utilities are still able to be used
This is our second stay, once in 2020 and now 2023. Both times were just for a couple nights. Great location to explore Minocqua. The campground is comprised mostly of seasonal folks, but offers 20 some sights to non-seasonal. Sites are relatively spaced apart for a private campground and offer FHU’s for those needing to stay a night or two to dump tanks, etc. A bit pricey, but if you spend most of your time boondocking it’s a good fit. Good Verizon signal and they have cable TV hookup.
Nice big camp ground with boat ramp. Nice big site we had. 90% ish are full-time camp sites nice out door pool. Some of the full-time campers are not so nice.
Loved the whole experience, the cold, the snow, the hammock camping. Quite an event!
Busy, loud with lots of fun opportunities to meet other folks, bbq, check out the bar, enjoy good eats and top off the good life with friends and family. This isn’t our usual kind of camping but we have family in Eagle River and wanted to explore the area while visiting. Not sure what it’s like off season, but this is an excellent place for family gatherings and summer activities. Top notch amenities.
Wonderful RV Resort! Brand New and Wow what a Bathhouse! The lake is right there steps away that is crystal clear and sandy bottom!! So much Vilas County has to offer!!! Highly Suggest Peacefulpines Resort
Very nice campsites. With great owners. It probably is the newest campground in the state. All the RV pads have concrete in their leveled. Every campsite has a fire pit. But at their little bar area it is very unique they have a pile of different games for everybody to use or play they have a big camp fire there every night. Very down to earth people but just want everybody to have a great time.
Lovely campground near the lakes. Tons of lake activities like renting boats to fish (like we did). Our campground was next to nice bathrooms and a sand volleyball court. Good privacy from neighboring campsites.
We have been seasonal campers here for 4 years. We made a list of everything we felt was important in a seasonal campground and we drive 2 1/2 hours each weekend because of what they offer.
Huge campground and well organized. Pull thru site.
The campground was peaceful. A little dated and the websites amenities were a little stretch. Beautiful lake access with small beach. Has heated swimming pool but was closed for season. Does have a wildlife school across the road with free trails you can walk.
This campground is wide and very open. We arrived on a Sunday and the weekend crowd had cleared out, so nice and quiet. One thing is— do not plan on doing laundry on a Monday. The personnel use all the machines to wash linens and towels from the cabins after folks check out. One dryer did not heat very well. The entry to the laundry is a step up and I stubbed my toe because the threshold was not secured.
We enjoyed the amenities and activities this campground had to offer. Clean bathrooms and laundry room. Great activities for kids…fishing presentation, movie, kickball. The site was full sun which got hot. There were shaded sites, but we couldn’t get sites together in the woods to be close to friends so we had to be in the field sites.
We had to cancel our reservation due to medical, we did give 1 month notice but the owner would not return the 1/2 down payment. If it was only a week or two and they did not fill the site I would understand. This was just wrong. The owner was very rude when questioned about this. We had another reservation we canceled two weeks later in the UP and that owner wished us well and hope to see us next season, that’s how you run a business!
We love this as a “go to” place for family. The lake location is perfect with both sunsets and coves. There are cabins as well as a few tent/rv campsites and a wonderful bar/restaurant on site. You can boat to a number of other bars and restaurants as well. The only negatives are that it is a bit crowded at times and the bathrooms are fairly simple.
Nice and quiet campground, little cool for weather while we were there but so peaceful. Linda was so nice in the office and really helpful, purchased firewood and so nice that they delivered. Would recommend and will stay again. Thanks for the wonderful week.
We stayed in a rental trailer here and were very impressed! There is a good mix of open and wooded sites. The weekends it gets busy, but the sites are for the most part spaced well enough apart that you don’t feel packed in. The owners/management were very friendly and responsive to all of our requests. You are close to all of the activities Eagle River has to offer, although not directly on the chain of lakes. They have a nice walking trail on the property, in addition to a bunch of activities geared toward the kids. We definitely plan to go back here again!
This county park hits all the important stuff. Great sites. Electric sites. Nice restrooms with flush toilets/showers. Store. Fireword on site. Clear water for swimming and no motorized boats. Playground, sand volleyball court. On the ice age trail. Bike trails. Near ATV trails and they offer disc golf. Ill be back here for sure.
Busy place in July! Perfect location to plan multi-family camping. Lots of amenities on site and nearby.
Clean bathrooms and shower areas. Easy hook up for water, electric and sewer. RV sites nice but would prefer more trees. Nice fire pits. Wood available for purchase. Driving a short distance to fun towns. Pretty quite.
Owners friendly and helpful Sites are clean and not too close together. Large fenced in dog run and also area for dogs to swim Quiet too
I truly wish I could give Zero stars for this park. The park itself is in a nice location, but the manager has clearly chosen the wrong career path. We had nothing but electrical issues the entire time we stayed there in a very hot part of summer and the managers answer to the problem when I brought it to her attention was, “don’t run the a/c if you’re having issues, no one else seems to have a problem!” On top of that there is a sign forbidding just about everything you can think of posted everywhere at this park....save your time and go elsewhere.
Great weekend! Most sites are very roomy some are little tight for the larger campers. Lots of activities to do and for the kids to do. Themed weekends throughout the season. Great bar and grill on property. Only complaint we had was the weekend we were there the bathroom's were not kept up. Were never cleaned, toilet paper was never refilled in the stalls. Ended up buying my own and having to take it with us to the rest room. Other issue which is hard to control unless babysitting constantly is both the pool area and the pond area have allot of people using it that do not have the required wrist bands on. Should be monitored more closely to prevent issues.
Nice campground with a nice beach area and fantastic disc golf course!
