Fishing, kayaking, and swimming draw campers to Pine Valley Lodge, a lakeside property outside Rhinelander with both drive-in and boat-in access. Nightly rates run $80 to $372, putting it on the higher end for the region. Amenities include hot showers, WiFi, picnic tables, and campfire access. The property is pet-friendly, though enforcement of leash and cleanup rules has been inconsistent, which has affected beach usability. Moen Lake Campground & RV Park sits just north if a cleaner swim area is a priority. Anglers and paddlers with a tolerance for variable management conditions will get the most out of a stay here.
Description
Our resort was built in 1920's as the 1st logging and passenger train routes were set in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, drawing guests from Milwaukee, Chicago, Madison and the Twin Cities. Pine Valley Lodge offered the 1st "Water Toboggan" water slide on this magnificent beachfront. The Moen chain of 5 lakes offers Class A Muskie, Northern, Walleye and pan fish. Valley Lodge and our lakeside cabins sit 3-15 feet from the lake for beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
