    Great Location and Nice Staff

This is a  private campground that fills up quick.    It is 1 mile from Bayfield town center.  It is close to the ferry dock, restaurants, parks and beaches.  All sites are electric and water and some are full hook up.  There are cabins and tent sites as well.   The office/store is very clean and stocked with things you may need.  8 flavor ice creams on site!  There is a  dump station and picnic tables and fire rings at each site.   There is free wi-fi and a shower house, bathrooms and laundry.

    Lamb's Resort

    Great Family Camping!

We had a wonderful time at Lamb’s Resort on our way back from Thunder Bay! The owners were available for questions and our site was perfect! We stayed at site 49, which was a short walk to the beach. Our boys, age 5 and 3, spent hours throwing rocks in the lake.

Activities: walked along the rocky shore to the mouth of the Cross River stargazing at night while laying on the beach Schroeder Baking Company just outside the entrance for rolls or pizza when the weather was not good for cooking. Rented a canoe from Sawtooth Outfitters and took up to Fourmile lake for fishing Hiked Temperance River trails after a big rainstorm. When our kids get older, we will take them up Carlton Peak

Plusses: Tent campers and RVs are separate to minimize noise. Site was private and tucked in the corner. So many activities to do, no matter the weather. Although a hike from our site, the main bathrooms were clean.

opportunities: really the only issue for us was that there were no grills on the fire pits. We made due, but a slight inconvenience. RVs were close together, but didn’t matter for us. playground was a little shaky - could use an update.

Best spot to explore the Apostle islands

This is the best base camp for exploring the Apostle islands. It’s about a mile from Bayfield. There is bike rental at Howl bike shop which is walking distance. Howl also has a brewery with outside seating. The camp ground itself is quiet and clean. We didn’t go in the bathrooms or use the washers due to Covid. Owners are very accommodating.

Perfect destination to camp by kayak

We kayaked to many campgrounds and islands in the national lakeshore. paddling a total of 60 miles we were able to make it to 3 different island campgrounds. Bathrooms and picnic tables were at most camp sites, some camp sites were very desolate and rustic. No running water on some islands.

Dyers Creek Campsite, Superior Hiking Trail

    Sufficient

In trying to add a title to this review the word that came to mind for Dyer's Creek Camp is sufficient. It has water, even in the dry season, it has enough camp spots for a few tents, the fire pit is ample and sturdy... It just lacks that wow factor to give it 5 stars. The water source is good but the creek is just that, a creek. It lacks that gurgling flow that sends you off to sleep. It's also deep in the woods so no views. There are a few sites close to the fire pit and then another one deeper into the site that offers some privacy and easier access to the creek. Those near the fire pit will most likely want to go under the bridge which is just a 60 second walk from the site.

    Lamb's Resort

    Well maintained campgrounds

Nice clean bathroom and great showers that have an extra DRY SPACE and a chair to change into fresh dry clothes.

Campground is well maintained, sites in the woods are spaced apart. Sites closer to Lake Superior are tight, some are VERY SHORT and tent sites only.

Good electric power and water at the site we were at.

Two nice beaches and a river at the campground. Very beautiful sunrise’s over the lake!

Fall camping will be cool beside the lake so bring warm clothes.

Close to MANY Minnesota State Parks and super good hiking trails.

Site 8 with no electricity or water and is great site with super views of the lake.

    Lamb's Resort

Best Campground on the North Shore!

Wow! This park was so much fun! We got super lucky and were able to get a site last minute last summer – thank you to whoever cancelled! This resort books up extremely fast and it’s easy to see why! Campfires on the beach, s’mores, a playground, lake side sites, a game room, a mini store – so many amenities! The night we stayed here was one of my most memorable nights of the entire summer! Family friendly but wasn’t overly strict with the adults that wanted to stay up a little later and have a good time on the lake! Book as early as possible with this one!

Great woodsy location close to town

Loved this location. 1.5 miles out of Bayfield, yet great outdoorsy feel with decent privacy. Can bike to the brewery or wineries and bike to town. Common area great for corn hole and a meager playground for the kids. Also super close to the gourmet garage bakery. Yum.

    Anchor Inn

Bad location, doesn’t deliver as promised

This campground is right off the highway next to a gas station. You can call to reserve a spot and it was $20 for an electrical and water hook up, $15 for just electrical. Bathroom/shower house is tiny. The spot we were put in didn’t actually have electrical so we had to set up as close to the bathroom building as we could which was a huge inconvenience for our neighbors. They state they have WiFi but that’s only if you’re in the gas station parking lot. There’s also only one bathroom stall and shower for the entire campground to share. There’s also a drunk lady that drags a chihuahua around and calls people names, and dogs running free that nobody picks up after when they poop
