    Liberty Lake RV Campground

Looks like a parking lot with RVs

This is a newer RV park in Liberty Lake. They have only been open 2 years. Liberty Lake is between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene ID. There are about 130 spaces or so, with concrete pads and paved streets. There is grass between sites, but they are much too close to be comfortable, and there is no shade! And, the rules!!! Lots more rules than most other camping areas.’ It also appears many of the residents are semi-permanent. They have free cable snd wifi, a dog park, playground, swimming pool, laundry, and dump station. The sites are 30/50 amp, most are pull through but the outer ring is back in. They also have propane. They are on the pricy side: an outside loop 50 ft. Site is $74/night. Good Sam gets you a 10% discount. It is easy access to I-90 both East and west.

    Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park

It's one of the nicest fairground rv parks.

It's one of the nicest fairground rv park I have been to. This place was very well kept and very friendly campground host. This place is big rig friendly. I stayed in a 45 class A motorhome with a tow vehicle. I had no problem with the access to the rv park. If you are coming off of interstate 90, don't use exit 13. The round about is way to small to handle big rig or any camper. The best route is exit 12 big rig friendly. The price is very reasonable for this area. No shade.

    Blackwell Island RV Park

    Waterfront RV campground

    9/14 to 9/17/19

    Blackwell Island RV Resort

    Coeur d'alene Idaho

Close to interstate, located next to Spokane River and lake. Boat and kayak rentals. Sites are gravel, level, both pull throughs and back ins available, FHU, no privacy between sites. Some nice water front sites. Chairs in place to enjoy the small beach. Nice volleyball and play area. Small BMX course was fun. Cute landscaping near water, small trees within the campground. Picnic tables, no wood fires allowed. No tents of any kind. Very limited store at the office. Town very close with stores and restaurants. Nice restaurant a short distance at the Marina called Cedars. Great private bathroom/with shower. Nice laundry facilities. Free cable and spotty wifi. Moose too!

    Liberty Lake Regional Park

    Quiet park close to Spokane

We spent 3 weeks at Liberty Lake Regional Park while visiting our son and grandkids in Spokane. The road in is a little narrow, but once in, it’s a great little campground. Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level. They are close together! They provide a fire pit if you want one. Picnic table, water and electric. The dump station is quite a drive, back out, up the hill. There is a clean shower/bathroom building and a beach within walking distance of the campground. While we were there the campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Several hiking trails, including an equestrian trail, waterfall, fishing and lots of wildlife. There were deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks. We were there over July 4th weekend and they had a fireworks display on the beach.

    Thousand Trails Little Diamond

    Little Diamond Newport Washington

We spent a week here and loved it. It is so quiet and peaceful. The sites share electric and water, no sewer and are positioned oddly they are on the off side and in front by the road. Some 30and 50 amp just check the box. The sites are gravel, some what level and size/length varies, a few pull throughs, our 37ft 5ver had no problem. Bathroom showers are ok. Laundry is good. There is a small lake free fishing, didn’t fish. We stayed in the Thousand Trails side, it is a split park with KOA on the other side. Two dump stations, nice lodge/ spa and pool open. AT&T and Sprint were very good. At our site 144

    Spokane County Fairgrounds

    Enjoyable Stay

We followed the map from the post confirmation email we received from the Fairgrounds that included the gate code as well. We realized we hadn't recieved the email with the gate code, so about an hour out, we emailed to ask about the gate code. We got an immediate reply, which was nice. Once we got in the campground (CG) area, we had the choice of the closely spaced pull throughs A-1 through A-8 or the B back-in area that consists of 35 sites spread out over several rows. We decided on site B-29 with water and electric(50/30/20) that had one of the two nice-sized picnic tables in the CG plus two trees for some shade. Since the back-in sites are in a large grass/dirt field, you can pull around and make them pull throughs. You have to figure out how you are going to angle in the sites and hook up to the water and electric, as the utilties for each site aren't exactly intuitive. The power worked well and we got about 50 psi on the water. We got 4 bars on Verizon and since there are not a lot of trees, a clear shot for Starlink. This CG is bare bones, but we enjoyed that there were only about four campers while we were there on a Friday- Monday in July. There are plenty of little dumpsters and a dump station up near the north part/entrance. There’s a restroom building towards the CG entrance but it’s just a men’s and women’s two stall bathroom. There’s no shower facility in the CG. We enjoyed our three day stay.

    Sedlmayer's Resort & Campground

A great quiet campground on the lake front.

My wife accidentally came across this private campground, which turned into a great stay. Located in northern Idaho and right on Spirit Lake, this campground has 31 RV sites that can accommodate various sizes of RVs. Every site has 20, 30& 50 amp electrical service however, only sites 1 through 21 have sewer. If you need a pull-through site, then go with #14 through#19, or#21.

The campground has a lakeside restaurant, boat slips for campers, and a small general store. The area was well maintained and clean. There are numerous mature cedar trees providing shade and privacy throughout the campground. My only complaint is that only 5 fire pits are located throughout the campground. This campground seems to be a local known quiet gem worth checking out for family fun.

Guide to Nine Mile Falls

Several RV parks and campgrounds surround Nine Mile Falls, Washington, located at approximately 1,600 feet elevation in the eastern Washington pine forests. The region features a mix of lake access sites along the Spokane River and urban-adjacent facilities with varying seasonal availability. Winter temperatures regularly drop below freezing, requiring campers to plan accordingly.

What to do

Water recreation access: At Willow Bay RV Resort & Marina, campers enjoy direct lake access with a swimming area just 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants. "Great location, 10 min to the grocery store and restaurants if you need them! Easy lake access and a great swimming area," reports one visitor.

Motocross viewing: The Airway X Motocross RV Park combines camping with motorsports entertainment. "The kids were entertained watching the motocross races. There is also a playground. Gas & groceries nearby," notes a family who stayed during race events.

Golf course access: Several campgrounds offer golfing opportunities nearby. "It is right on the golf course. Seems to be a lot of long term campers. Put your trash out and they come by and pick it up in the morning," explains a camper about facilities at Deer Park RV Resort.

What campers like

Scenic settings: Many campers appreciate the natural surroundings at Bergsparken RV Park, mentioning "views of Mt Spokane and gorgeous sunset views." Another visitor noted, "The night breeze is very relaxing with the sound of the wind in the tall trees. Be ready for encounters with deer, rabbits, wild turkey, quail, and even the occasional elk and moose."

Well-maintained amenities: Northern Quest RV Resort receives high marks for its upkeep and facilities. "Immaculate RV park within minutes of the Casino. You can even rent golf carts for the day to easily travel back and forth," reports one camper. Another appreciates that "the sites have a good amount of space between them."

Affordability options: Budget-conscious travelers can find options with various price points. One camper at Northern Quest mentions, "The park is a Good Sam park so we received a discount."

What you should know

Site selection varies: Pay attention to site layout when booking. At Liberty Lake RV Campground, "Sites are concrete pads with a picnic table also on concrete. While sites are close, they are spaced well enough that you don't have to worry with hitting your neighbor with your awning or having to play Tetris with your slides."

Pet restrictions: Not all parks welcome pets equally. At Peaceful Pines RV Park, one camper reported, "I've never been so harassed before by a campground for having a pet. Definitely not pet friendly. There is literally one tree they make you stay at and you can't walk the campground with your dog."

Internet reliability: Wi-Fi quality varies significantly between parks. One camper at Willow Bay RV Resort noted "Internet was horrible," while another at Northern Quest reported "free Internet leaves something to be desired."

Tips for camping with families

Swimming access: For families with children, pools can be essential during hot summer months. "The swimming pool was fantastic as well," notes a camper at Liberty Lake RV Campground about their family visit.

Entertainment options: Ponderosa Falls RV Resort offers additional recreation. "It's secure with a gate and even has a mini golf course inside," shares one visitor who appreciated the family-friendly amenities.

Proximity to conveniences: Some families appreciate being close to urban amenities. A Liberty Lake camper explains, "You are maybe half mile from I-90 and road noise can be heard all hours. You are also in the middle of the town Liberty Lake. Minutes from Safeway, McDonalds and Starbucks."

Tips from RVers

Site specifics: RVers should pay attention to site specifications. At Trailer Inns RV Park, "Pull through sites are long and can fit most RV's. Parking is available at each site at the front or the rear of each site."

Winter preparedness: RV parks Nine Mile Falls, Washington area operate year-round but require preparation. At Liberty Lake, one reviewer mentioned a "$100 deposit on the heat tape during winter on the spigot. If you don't want to pay it then you have to call them to unlock the water to fill your tank."

Convenience services: Some rv parks offer unique services. At Deer Park RV Resort, a camper appreciated that "they collect your trash at your site every day, and have a propane delivery service so you can get your tanks filled without having to get out of your slippers."
