Riverside State Park campgrounds welcome pets throughout their Nine Mile Falls camping areas, with both Bowl and Pitcher Campground and Nine Mile Recreation Area maintaining pet-friendly policies. Leashed pets must remain under physical control on a leash no longer than eight feet when outside vehicles or tents. The campgrounds provide picnic tables and fire rings at each site, with multiple accommodation options including tent sites, RV spots with hookups, and select pet-friendly cabins. Northern Quest RV Resort and Willow Bay RV Resort & Marina also accommodate pets with dedicated walking areas and waste stations. Restroom facilities remain clean and well-maintained across most campgrounds, though the Nine Mile Recreation Area experiences seasonal goose droppings that can impact beach access during summer months.
Multiple hiking trails connect directly from Riverside State Park campgrounds, offering miles of pet-friendly routes along the Spokane River. The Bowl and Pitcher area features a suspension bridge that crosses over dramatic rock formations, providing excellent photo opportunities with leashed dogs. Dog owners should note that summer temperatures frequently exceed 90°F, necessitating extra water and morning exercise schedules. Wildlife encounters remain common throughout the area, requiring proper leash control to prevent conflicts with deer, turkeys, and occasional moose. Campers report generous-sized sites at Bowl and Pitcher campground, though the proximity between sites offers minimal privacy during peak summer weekends. The Nine Mile Recreation Area provides water access for dogs that enjoy swimming, though the area remains closed during off-season months.
"Standard State Park facilities set near downtown Spokane in a beautiful river gorge. You don't feel close to the city at all here with plenty of space to hike and bike. The dogs loved it too."
"Multiple water spigots close by. Lots of walking trails nearby and a cool suspension bridge over the river. Other than the lack of solitude, absolutely no complaints."

Standard RV park with full hookups, bathrooms, showers, basic store, and dog park. Decent amount of highway noise
It is hard to find many positives about this place. It has nothing to do with the people, but only about the "campground". It is a parking lot. No grass. Very tight. Lots of seasonal folks. There is a dog park. It Is right on the river. It is right on the bike trail. It is close to town. Beyond that. There is nothing that I deem attractive or desirable about this place. So for me personally, we passed. Please check out the photos and judge for yourself.
Quiet, spacious, beautiful smell of pine trees. Wouldn’t want to drive in after dark though. Two large dog parks. Park is gravel and you may need to do a little leveling, but it isn’t bad at all. Had enough room to park my 44’ rig and my truck right next to it. Would definitely come here again.
I’ve never been so harassed before by a campground for having a pet. Definitely not pet friendly. There is literally one tree they make you stay at and you can’t walk the campground with your dog.
This is a newer campground in Airway Heights very close to the Spokane Airport and near the Northern Quest Casino. The campground has a pool, gym, dog park, and has free shuttle service to casino and airport. Very nice bathrooms (just not enough) also the trees are small, but once the trees mature there will be nice shade areas. Lots to do in the area and shopping very close. End of the day I will be staying here again.
Great new campground right outside of Plummer. There's been some sort of entertainment each night we've been here, fire dancers Friday and Saturday, a 4th of july bbq, 2 bands and fireworks at midnight tonight. There's several different sections to stay in, a dog park, lodge and laundry area. I would definitely come again.
This is a newer RV park in Liberty Lake. They have only been open 2 years. Liberty Lake is between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene ID. There are about 130 spaces or so, with concrete pads and paved streets. There is grass between sites, but they are much too close to be comfortable, and there is no shade! And, the rules!!! Lots more rules than most other camping areas.’ It also appears many of the residents are semi-permanent. They have free cable snd wifi, a dog park, playground, swimming pool, laundry, and dump station. The sites are 30/50 amp, most are pull through but the outer ring is back in. They also have propane. They are on the pricy side: an outside loop 50 ft. Site is $74/night. Good Sam gets you a 10% discount. It is easy access to I-90 both East and west.
We stayed the night in January and had a late check-in. Paid $69 and had access to full hookups. If you are not there before 5 pm they will not share the code for the bathrooms, etc so beware! Neighbors are told not to give out the code so we had quite a time trying to get in! The public building has bathrooms, laundry, pool, small store and a nice lounge. Lots are quite close together but it is neatly laid out with a few dog parks.
