Great Facilities, but in the middle of a highway

We stayed at a cabin toward the end of the park. The cabins are great and super comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. Saw park staff cleaning and taking out the trash frequently. It is about 10 feet from the highway so loud all day/night.  Interesting history but the springs themselves have…

Decent Campground

We went during Memorial day weekend which is a very busy camping weekend. It's a cool spot and the drive there is beautiful. It's the only campground in the general area meaning it's the only bathroom nearby. I'm sure the experience would be different if it wasn't a busy weekend. The entire time…

Worst place ever!!!!!

Not worth spending your money here!!!! The bathrooms are disgusting and the site you pay for my don’t come with the amenities that you thought you were paying for because the camping site says one thing but willam can jut change the rules because he can I guess!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE

Best campground

We have stayed here many times. 10 years ago was one of our favorites. Our families came from all over Oregon and Washington, even California. We came from Missouri. What an amazing family reunion. The park rangers were so nice. They had informed classes about animals in the forest. The Jr…

Love The Fishing

I always love camping and fishing the valley, this camping ground is free to use. It is very clean and has great fishing during trout season. Make sure you get here early if you have a rv or trailer during the summer as it’s first come, first serve and locals love the place.

Convenient, if not a bit overpriced

Stayed here one night, just passing through. Made reservation online, but wasn't assigned a site. When we arrived, the office was closed and there were no instructions on how to check in. We had to call the hotel front desk. the sites are ok. The bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. You can…

Elk bugling all night!

We were the only campers here when we pulled in. Gorgeous pine forest all around, lake view though it’s private so no access. Cute cabins around lake. Super quiet until dark when the elk started their singing! So cool! Absolutely loved it. Spaces are far apart.

Beautiful campground too close to Intestate

We stayed here in a tent site (no hookups) on our way back to Portland from Nevada. As an overnight cut-off campground, it’s lovely: Nice-sized sites set in beautiful Oregon forest (we’d been out of state for a couple weeks and REALLY appreciated the trees); clean bathrooms and showers; long “tent”…

Historic Camp.... 50ft from the freeway. 👎🏼

So much history in this area. A nice little camp with full hookups, cabins and tent spots. LITERALLY right next to the freeway. Camp host was not friendly and the noise never stopped. Keep on going down the road and look for something else if you’re looking for a true outdoors experience.

Typical parking-lot style RV park

We stayed here overnight on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was fine for a “pull-in, hook up, go to bed” place, but I wouldn’t want to stay here for any length of time.

The sites are within a few feet of each other with no privacy. There’s no shade or really any vegetation.

I guess if you were…

Beautiful spot

This campground is great. We’ve stayed twice - once in a tent and once in a cabin and had a wonderful experience both times. We must have lucked out, because the nights we stayed traffic noise didn’t seem bad at all. Bathrooms are nice and clean. The surroundings are so pretty and walking…

Historic Site, Intrusive Highway Noise

We stopped for a night on our way to Joseph. It seemed like a good stopping point near the highway. The campground is very well kept with nice touches such as a lit pathway through the woods to the washrooms. It is a shame that the campsites are directly by the highway. A half-mile into the forest…

Beautiful site, but the trash..

The camp sites are prefect. Enough privacy in between, nice amount of room. The trash surrounding the lake was rampant. Great fishing, shore or water- lots of access. The road to the campground was dirt gravel, easily drivable even for the smallest vehicles. Some sites accommodated RVs. There…
