Be prepared

This lake is really good for all water activities and the campground is an easy walk to the water and the park. Be warned about the high winds in the evenings but it can get windy any time of the day. If you have slide toppers there is potential for them to tear or pull the brackets away from the…

Beautiful golf course quality!

We made reservations and have loved the staff! They are great and helpful. The whole park is beautiful and has a wonderful summer wind. Not far from stores and restaurants. Gas and diesel near by. Very quiet and very cozy. Grounds keepers make this place top notch visually and the pull through and…

BUGS!!!

When you arrive a sweet lady warns you about the snakes. But what she failed to warn us about is the swarming yellow jackets. My boyfriend spent the entire evening fighting them away from the van. I got stung. Finally the sun goes down and they go away. Then we wake up and as soon as we open a door…

Anti Fur Kids

Looks great on paper. However these people must be into froufrou type dogs. 40 POUND LIMIT. We travel with our fur kids (over 40 pounds). Shallow minded management.

Great spot

We were passing through and Horn Rapids was perfect for our use. It has a nice little mini mart, drive through spots, full hookups, playground for the kids, clean bathrooms/showers, and allows pets. It is also close to Safeway and right outside the gate is a camper trailer friendly gas station with…

Road Trip

Big nice full hook up developed campground. Upper loop is more sage brushy & less manicured lawn than the lower loop. Great views and pretty private spots. If there is a concert at the Gorge don’t even try here as it will be a full party palace. Can be very windy.

Great little gem backing to the Yakima river

I really liked this campground. I wish we could stay longer than 14 days out of 45, but that's the rules. There is no camp host but maintenance is there daily to tend to the grounds. It is a well kept place I can say that. The only complaint I have is that the sprinklers go on in the middle of the…

Quiet Overnight in Wine Country

I typically rate campgrounds as they fit into 1 of 5 categories. This campground will be rated as an “along the way” stay — grounds that you seek out for a night or two as a place to simply stay the night along your journey to regroup and get some sleep. Ratings for this category are based…

A beautiful campground

The grand kid loved the playground and trails, the kids liked the campsite and we loved how clean and well maintained everything is. There is a train track nearby that is very busy day and night. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Great minimalist and open spot by the riverside

Great spot, easy to find and close to river. The area looks like a fishing put-in, but we were the only ones there. Cold and consistently windy when we were there. Heard light noise from the highway, barges and train, but nothing disturbing. Beautiful sunrise and interesting wildlife to look at.
