Great for a nite stay!

Good parking area for us, not many here or could get a little tight depending on how people park. It does not have shade so a little warm in August! Be self contained 😀

Threemile Canyon

This is more like a large parking lot for day tourists with a few spots right by river side. There are no designated camping spots. There is one vault toilet which is clean. There are mostly fisherman or boaters staying here. No shade. For a overnight stay fine but I would not stay longer.

Nice place to rest and enjoy the Columbia River

Stayed two nights and loved it. Lots of boaters using the boat ramp and parking area. Lots of disbursed camping areas and short walking paths. Lots of birds also.

Location has all you need.

Would be five stars but train is very loud. Still, has all you could ever need. Boardman is nearby and there is a laundromat, a food truck court that’s open for breakfast, water fill station, bathrooms at campsite, and ample gas stations/other resources. Plus, you can wake up right on the water for free!

Maybe underused

Not much here but great if you fish or have a boat. Highway and train near but not overly loud.

Fantastic Place to Stop

There several places you can pull up to camp, you could park by the water, by the grass, or on a parking lot. There is a boat ramp, a opening for wind surfers, and a nice spot for smaller water craft. There are two vaulted toilets (clean) and a manual pump water spigot. There is a nice town seventeen miles away with friendly people.

Nice location right on the Columbia river

We pulled in around 7:30pm and got the last of ~6 spots right on the river, however there is a large lot that can handle another dozen rigs easily. The whole area is gravel and well maintained. There is clean vault toilet. We woke to a beautiful view across the river and got a nice sunrise.

Took 2 zoom calls with no problem using my Verizon jet pack (3 bars LTE). Oh, and it’s free.

simple but beautiful

this spot was pretty nice for a night or two, but can be kinda spooky if you are camping alone. very windy and in the middle of nowhere. there was a bathroom that was well maintained. the sheriff came and checked me and another camp out and left. technically camping season started march 31 but i camped a few weeks early and no one said anything. watching the sun set and rise was beautiful

Great minimalist and open spot by the riverside

Great spot, easy to find and close to river. The area looks like a fishing put-in, but we were the only ones there. Cold and consistently windy when we were there. Heard light noise from the highway, barges and train, but nothing disturbing. Beautiful sunrise and interesting wildlife to look at.

What a wonderful little hidden gem of a campsite

Only a mile off I-84 down an easy dirt road, this little site sees some day use for kite surfers, kayakers and fishermen, but also has plenty of space for a number of RVs to set up camp, just feet above the Columbia. We arrived right at sunset, which was gorgeous over the mountain tops and river. There ended being 3 or 4 RVs set up overnight, plus 2 tent campers on a Saturday night. Peaceful and quiet, easy on and off the highway, perfect little overnight stop while driving back to Portland. Didn’t hear highway noise, even though we were that close to the interstate. Would definitely use again.

Had 2 of 4 bars on AT&T. This site is also known as Threemile Canyon Park according to the signs from the highway.
