Road Trip

Big nice full hook up developed campground. Upper loop is more sage brushy & less manicured lawn than the lower loop. Great views and pretty private spots. If there is a concert at the Gorge don’t even try here as it will be a full party palace. Can be very windy.

Columbia River-side, new and neat

Nice campground, newly built and very nice quality roads/sites/bathrooms, with a few ADA-accessible sites as well. Not crowded at all toward the end of May. Right off the highway and on the Columbia River, but sadly the brush blocks any view of the water from our campsite. There is a small swimming…

Nice place to go and just relax on your way to your next destination

First of all, the staff is very nice and respectful. The campground is very clean. The bathrooms have showers and are well kept. They provide wifi, water, sewer and power at the sites. It's a bit pricey for being as basic as it is but when you look around at other campgrounds in the area and…

Nice Park-like setting, because it is.

Just a half mile from I-84, you’ll get a little truck noise but was worth the $34 for an overnight stay.  Pulled In right before 5:00PM on a Sunday and was able to check in before the help went home.  I had made previous reservations so checkin was a snap. Have a 28’ class C with a toad. The pull…

Quiet Overnight in Wine Country

I typically rate campgrounds as they fit into 1 of 5 categories. This campground will be rated as an “along the way” stay — grounds that you seek out for a night or two as a place to simply stay the night along your journey to regroup and get some sleep. Ratings for this category are based…

simple but beautiful

this spot was pretty nice for a night or two, but can be kinda spooky if you are camping alone. very windy and in the middle of nowhere. there was a bathroom that was well maintained. the sheriff came and checked me and another camp out and left. technically camping season started march 31 but i…

Great minimalist and open spot by the riverside

Great spot, easy to find and close to river. The area looks like a fishing put-in, but we were the only ones there. Cold and consistently windy when we were there. Heard light noise from the highway, barges and train, but nothing disturbing. Beautiful sunrise and interesting wildlife to look at.

Lovely spot right on the river

I enjoyed my night at this campground. The spots by the river offer lovely views. Those in the interior, not so much. There were many large rigs here. The walking/running trail at the back of the campground is in good condition and meanders along for 3 miles, 1.5 in either direction from the…

Great little stop!

We stayed here in the off season, it’s first come first served parking, which ended up being really great for us. We got to park with a view of the river and away from other RVs. The spaces are large, there is a bathroom and showers on site. There is a nice walking path, and loads of grass and…

Cute, and Clean

Small and very green Campground with just what you need as you’re passing through. The caretakers of the property are available for questions and take great care of the place. Tables at each spot make it easy to cook and bathrooms are clean.

Free campground on Columbia River

This is a Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife fishing access site. It is free with a Washington State Discovery Pass for $30/year. This annual pass will also gain you admission to state parks. There are several boat launch sites here and a number of those Sani Cans. The area is spread…
