Martha Lake Dispersed Camping

This is a small pull off right off the highway. You need s discover pass to use it. Pulling in there is a single toilet, we didn’t check it out. The gravel parking area along the small lake allows for some privacy, but you are in a gravel parking area near a highway. No water and the bathroom looked dodgy, but there used to be ample parking close enough to hear the highway. The lake is nice, the water is clear, and some locals swim in it. We camped from afternoon until afternoon the following day. A few people cans and went but by nightfall there was one other car and a motorhome all distant from one another. If you listen you can hear the highway. At about 2am when the breeze stopped the mosquitoes came out with a vengeance and stayed until about 8am when a breeze picked up again.

Not a destination, but a welcome rest spot.

We stopped here for an overnight stay. Arrived at 8pm on a Monday, it was already dark. I didn't drive very far in since I've never been here and it was dark. I parked close to the water near the entrance and next to a sketchy bathroom that had bullet holes in the door. I almost didn't stay the night but I was really tired. Seemed ok, I did hear the freeway noise all through the night.

Right off the interstate and easy for any size rig to get in. Quite a few spots, we were the only ones here. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of trash we are going to pick up tomorrow. Please pack in and pack out everything you bring or find.

Martha Lake was a pleasant surprise. We stayed overnight on the 4th of July in our Sprinter van to give our dogs a break from the fireworks. Although there were some fireworks nearby, they didn’t bother the dogs at all.

Martha Lake requires a Discovery Pass, and you're allowed to stay for up to three days. There were three other car campers the night we stayed, but we were spaced out enough that I could only see one other vehicle in the distance.

There’s a bathroom near the entrance, but we never had to use it since we had our own onboard. Fishing is allowed, and we camped right next to the lake.

Hands down, I’d camp here again if I’m in the area.

Found this spot to be quite perfect for an overnight stay. Quiet and peaceful. There were a couple other campers staying over as well as a few daytime use out fishing. It was not fancy but it was free. If fancy is what you prefer then this isn’t for you.
We spent the evening listening to a variety of birds before the frogs sang us to sleep.

Note: Lake needs Washington Discover Pass Stopped while traveling through for an overnight stay. Camping areas are big gravel lots next to the lake.
Had no problem with level. There is some noise from I90, but not really that bad.
Nobody else was at the lake when we stayed.
Great overnight stop with a lake view out our back door.
