Lower Goose Lake

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Free camping on the shore of a lake in eastern Washington's high desert draws a particular kind of camper to Lower Goose Lake. Managed by Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife within the Seep Lakes area, this dispersed site has no fee and no formal infrastructure. It's drive-in access, lakeside. Anglers and waterfowl hunters make up much of the traffic through this area. Mardon Resort, roughly three miles north, gives campers a developed alternative with amenities this site lacks.

Felt like AZ

Didn't expect eastern WA to be so much like southern AZ. Not a bad spot... just not my thing. Only access to the water I could see was a boat launch, but it's a decent view of the lake from the lot. Last part of the road in is steep downhill on very loose gravel/rocks, so take your time if you're pulling a small rig or boat. Not very big rig friendly. No amenities... but a disappointing amount of trash.
