I can only speak to the site we are in (91) but it was a breeze to pull in our 30 foot trailer in this pull-through site and set up. It was pretty much level. The folks I interacted with in the office were very nice. The WiFi is good enough to Google or post this, but no streaming. That does not…
Owners are really nice. Campground is beautiful. Sites are huge and level. It’s quiet and peaceful, and the surrounding area is gorgeous.
We will make this an annual event... the grandchildren love it! Great camping, nice beach and swim area, lot's of hiking and biking trails, a campground store... everything you would need and want in a campground!

Just got here. The people who run this place have been very kind and great to work with on reservations. The site we have was easy to back in. Everything works well. The WiFi is decent. Convenient location for the Martinsville area. There is a river access for canoe at the edge of the campground. I…
First, it’s difficult to find and difficult to call for directions if the one clerk in the truck stop office is busy, which is most of the time. Yes, it is full hookup and many sites are pull through. But, there’s truck noise all night which resembles a train that never stops.
This past weekend was absolutely wonderful!! The park ranger was super nice and helpful and the campground was one of the best we have been to yet. We highly recommend this campground.
Restrooms/showers: very clean, spacious, centrally located. Shower stalls are separate from the restroom and are basically their own room with lock.
Lots: Well maintained gravel lots. Spacious and didn't feel like we were on top of our neighbors. Good shade, lots of trees. Nice firepits!

We stayed at Wilderness Adventure for one night in “The Meadow”. We stayed a Saturday night and got to enjoy live music, and tasty beers! The staff was incredibly hospitable, and the grounds were so fun to explore. If you’re up for a fun hike, take the Outerspace trail up to “The Bluff” and enjoy…

My friend recommended New River Junction to me and I'm glad that I listened to him. The campground is not far from Virginia Tech and so there were several other campers staying a few nights with plans to go to the football game. The RV sites are along the river and two sites share an electical box…
No trees for the pull throughs but still a nice place and right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway
Very well-kept campground. Peaceful, Quiet, Wonderful Staff.
Stayed here on a whim after hiking up to McAfee Knob. Showed up right at 10pm and luckily found an empty spot. Got a fire going and made some dinner. Not the best privacy but at night there were no issues. Nice level gravel pads that we just pitches a mosquito pop up and slept on the ground.
We absolutely love this campground! We prefer smaller, quieter, more rural campgrounds with lots of trees, natural features, and quiet, respectful neighbors.
This campground had the friendliest staff, awesome, well maintained grounds, plenty of activities and a great location near many…

Lake Moomaw is nice though it has the distinctive bathtub ring of a reservoir. We had a “premium” campsite in loop 1 that was right off the water, which was very nice. The bathrooms in the main loop with showers were nice and clean, the pit toilet on the premium sites had a bad fly problem.
Camped out for one night, great place. Owners are real friendly, they have a store as well. The trains though! My dog did not appreciate them, but overall nice place.
